Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Sadly. May I ask why this decision was made? The planes weren’t even tested

I already answered that here: Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion - #5063

The source is not clear or spesific to the Mk 2. Clarity is needed.

Any and all relevant information should be in the report itself.

They were tested internally. For now, the current focus is on helicopter interactions. Aircraft are significantly more complex from a balancing point of view.

because how the mk2 was built to is the same spec that LEP scimitars were upgraded to circa 2010. mk1 and mk2.

publications explicitly saying mk2 was obsolete because of this. How can vehicles be modelled realistically if documentation of the era is looked at without historical nuance.

So, what you are saying then, that the @Caernarvon02 sources could be used to upgrade both the Mk1 and Mk2 to Gen 3 thermals because it just generically states the Scimitar?

Not at all. Please read again.

Sources that directly clarify which variant or upgrade are in question need to be provided. The ambiguity on which upgrade is in question is why they were rejected in the first place.

so… model it to mk2 spec? vesa sxga resolution for thermals, no FCS disabling a manual gun and gun laying and so on

Any and all incorrect or missing features can be properly reported with the appropriate sources.

Ambiguous sources however without all relevant and key information are sadly not going to help.

FCS has already been reported: Community Bug Reporting System

ive used the alvis scorpion manual to bug report the scimitar, without the nuance that scimitar and scorpion are an identical tank other than main gun and ammo stowage those reports are much more ambiguous than this one.

yea… that was me, basically copy and pasting my report from when this was done to the original scimitar (just with superior sources after a year of research to ensure gaijin cant screw over another CVRT). Just used it as an example of a think on the list of fixes to make it right

No need. They clearly know it’s a Formation Recce turret not the BGTI Close Recce one, as they’ve modelled E-SPIRE inside the turret in a lot of detail. Including the EU module you wouldn’t really know was there without looking in the AESPs. Documents which are technically still not cleared for release by the MoD btw - but people have obtained 5855-D-110-###s from MoD disposals and are selling copies.
There’s some telling signs that the EU was modelled based on the AESP line drawings rather than actually seeing one installed in situ on a real Scimitar Mk.2 vehicle.

They’ve simply opted that BAE was building a tank in 2010 with a gunnery system from 1998, despite the OEM (Avimo) no longer existing. While acknowledging upgrades to replace the imaging unit on E-SPIRE the previous year on vehicles in Afghanistan (by a company that is written down as a sub-contractor for CVR(T) Mk.2), but not accepting it’s for the Mk.2 which was built specifically for that war in Afghanistan.

Short of leaking more recent AESPs specific to the Mk.2 they wont be convinced, because the outdated (likely 2006) AESPs they have for Scimitar (Mk.1) show a Gen 1 imager. So that will continue to trump anything short of a primary source showing M-SPIRE in a Scimitar Mk.2 turret (which again is still restricted), and nigh impossible now the remaining 23 (of 28) vehicles and their documentation have been transferred to Ukraine.

Good day friends, how about a new WIP devblog today?

Didn’t we got the Decal one sone days ago?

I doubt it since we got one on Monday.

Seems to be 1 a week at this point.

Yea, but maybe as we get closer to the update they start to release more than one a week

We are still approximately 3 weeks away from the first dev blog I don’t think they will do more than 1 for the next week’s if they even release new WiP blogs

Can any of you infantry CBT folk check if you get the option to join matches in the event tab? Seen some pictures floating around

I didn’t catch that

But I expect gajin work in progress McDonnell FH-1 Phantom or Cessna A-37 Dragonfly

Super Hornet Block II later service similar to Block III standard

The US Navy Super Hornet Block II mid 2000’s service pre integrated IRST pod

Yeah it’s there.

There’s 2 runs of it this week. The first one runs from 2026-08-05T09:00:00Z to 2026-08-06T09:00:00Z.

The second runs from 2026-08-08T09:00:00Z to 2026-08-09T09:00:00Z.

There’s some rewards for this CBT too.

@Smin1080p_WT may I ask why in naval the Spawns are limited to 3 Ships / 2 Planes? Like, when I could spawn more why not allow to use it?

Damn, the decals look neat
