Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Uncle Sam baby 😎

Not that cool. It’s still american and should be replaced with European options

So a completely air tight bug report on the Scimitar Mk.2 with receipts for the upgrades and parliamentary memos for said upgrades got denied due to shoddy reasoning? They used absolutely bonkers reasoning to deny a recent ZA-35 report stating “Foreign secondary sources are not reliable”, this is a complete switch on a narrative when Gaijin has literally used foreign secondary sources to nerf vehicles in the past, they have also used foreign secondary sources to deny reports using primary sources as well. What is going on??? @Smin1080p_WT is there ANY clarification on this? ACTION NEEDS TO BE TAKEN

Without a link to the report, I have no idea which one we are even talking about here for me to even take a look.

Sure thats for the cannister-launched NASAMS, and not the HML ones?

yes, these ones:

One of the radar vehicles

Thought that was the bundeswehr originally lol

Interesting, have you read that somewhere, or was it conveyed through your contacts in the Dutch armed forces?

I personally talked with ex-Dutch army personnel who worked on the platform (one of which is also in my squadron P4n1C) and there’s a couple articles on it too in Dutch, one of which also in the Dutch defense papers. Recently (last month) it was also a hot topic again in the Benelux papers as we just started tripling our long, medium and short range air defence system capacity, which now sits under a Benelux umbrella structure.

I see, thanks for replying!

I was hoping to read more about the Norwegians use of the weapon system, since i havent seen anything about them launching when mounted on the Scanias.

That response is hillarious and totally unsurprising.

Of course they’ll artificially nerf the Scimmie Mk2 as much as they possibly can

The one for the most recent ZA-35 report was also mind boggling:

“Foreign secondary sources aren’t reliable”

Well guess we need to roll back every nerf and buff that uses foreign secondary sources now, just the rules which will be ignored by tomorrow

Yep.

Next it will be “soviet sources are only accepted”

See those are foreign for everything not Russian, but hey when do Gaijin stick by their own playbook? Every statement is eventually doubled back on…

Knowing Gaijin, The Mk2 is probably a mix of several upgrade programs. So before they divulge which ones they have based it on, it is difficult to bug report anything

Yeah…

They said the Mk.2 is “One of several upgrades” which technically true, but there was only one standardisation for Scimitar Mk.2, that being the Scimitar Mk.2.

Scimitar Mk.1 on the other hand is a different story.

That is true, so hopefully it would be an easy solve.

At worst, shouldnt it have the same thermals as the Warrior? As i understand from the sources in the report, the Scimitars were either upgraded with the M-SPIRE or the BGTI.
