No it’s not late, last year it started 7 of August
Has anything been said on a tech tree patriot spaa ever?
It’s not self propelled 🤓
huh?
Patriot isn’t self propelled. The “SP” in SPAA means self-propelled.
oh but still it’s a AA system
Yes, for this we use the umbrella term “SAM” which means anything with a bunch of parts into a single air defence system, like Patriot or S-300/400/500 etc.
I don’t think it’ll come any time soon though, to answer your original question.
did you really have to correct me even though my question will still come across
Probably, you never know with other people. Some might hear “PATRIOT SPAA COMING!!1” and be genuinely surprised when you can’t move from one spot to the other whenever you want in no time at all like with CLAWS.
well that’s a them problem if they don’t read it correctly
Could of actually used a photo of the american mobile Patriot systems.
Eh, (Yeet) the US…
They’ve used mobile systems here in Germany (mainly to show off but like Gajin can bs something :3)

Hi,
Thanks for this. Just got away from work so I can reply ^^
This is a welcome workaround IMO. It’d probably play like a worse Buk-M3 though, because even the radar vehicle has to be deployed on its leveling jacks (apparently it’s needed for radar alignment; happy to be wrong though), which takes time to set up and pack away. That would, in effect, severely affect its ability to skedaddle out of hairy situations, especially when the enemy team decides to rush the spawn.
Obviously I’m not expecting minutes-long setup times. Something in the region of 15-20 seconds to deploy or pack up would probably be enough to simulate it ingame.
I would personally love for more modern Destroyers, frigates and corvettes to come to the game.
However, WT mobile has a very different naval gameplay and balance structure compared to WT realistic/Arcade naval gameplay, so I’d be interested in seeing how they implement this (I’m hoping for a naval decompression to at least 10.7 or more). Here in WT we’re just nowhere near that level yet, hopefuly in the upcoming year we might see the first Anti-Ship missiles being added on ships.
Let’s first see how Subs are going to implemented, as BVVD said. :D
Gaijin doesn’t care. We already have this problem with the pantsir s1 being trash with guns that misses everything when you shoot and the truck goes 5° upwards and make completely miss
I believe they have already done such a workaround with the NASAMS, with them firing from the trucks
I’ve personally talked to NASAMS crews of the Dutch armed forces and their German colleages, and both have said that they don’t do that, although if perfectly level and programmed correctly there’s a technicality that they could shoot whilst not dismounted.
So they technically can, but operationally it’s almost an impossibility and far too difficult compared to just dismounting them and being on a far more stable ground platform.
Correct, although the Norwegians do have this in their training, whilst the Dutch and Germans don’t afaik.
The Benelux QRA and the Belgian and Dutch defence ministers have also openly spoken about this. The cost of mounted launchers is not worth it for NASAMS compared to a dismounted launcher that’s almost as fast to move but about 30% cheaper.
Yea lol tbh our patriots keep the trucks from my understanding because it’s just simpler then having the logistics of removing them but they aren’t a actual mobile anti air they are still paractically stationary but it’s a possible war for their addition in the future when (if ever) the maps change and allow for them
Anyway they are cool either way
