Gaijin makes their decisions in connection with active conflicts, but they just don’t do it very directly.
For example, they bypassed adding the OPLOT tank by adding it to Japan through a sub-nation (the same goes for the BTR-3 and so on). If they weren’t making their decisions based on politics, why didn’t they add the OPLOT and BTR-3 to Russia?
And as practice has shown, what happens to the community when Gaijin goes beyond the boundaries of politics. Example: the VT-4, which was supposed to be fought by Japan, but it caused incredible anger among the Chinese. And if we add Ukraine as a Russian province today, imagine what would happen
So i understand you are afraid, that USSR would get leopard, abrams etc, well china already is getting top tier American stuff because of Taiwan, so what is problem with USSR. I don’t think all people would grind whole ussr tech tree, because some people may not like Russia at all, because of political reasons, to progress not everything has to be grinded, also people can use any flag if there is only one or more vehicles from given nation, apart from Taiwan as china forced gajing to remove taiwanese flag from TT icon setting. But still a lot of unique T-tanks and bmps could be added.
USSR doesn’t need it though. More than enough vehicles by itself without needing an “alliance” (I think you mean subtree?). Other such vehicles could probably be a subtree (or at the very least, “gap fillers”) in another nation (e.g., the future Korea tree) which would be less problematic than adding to USSR which doesn’t really lack in vehicles
Anyways, if there are other former USSR nations’ vehicles being added they’ll most likely be an event/premium or squadron vehicle and not TT
Interesting precedent that Gaijin were right to avoid. It wouldn’t work well with a Korea tree. “They already have NK stuff, they don’t need SK stuff too” or vice versa.
Where else would it go? No other tree uses the Abrams tank.
The difference is the ROC (Taiwan) was the primary China during WW2 and only lost its recognition as China/a nation in the 70s iirc. And well not as strong as a claim from Taiwan last I heard both claim the are the real China
Well for the Russian tree to be the USSR tree, it primary nation would need to be Kazakhstan as it last nation to leave the union (one many weren’t willingly in).
The the biggest issue is the unlimited access to NATO tech, which is a similar issue to Germany getting the BeNeLux with it getting unlimited access to allied tech when it’s on the opposite side.
What OP thing can Russia even get now? In terms of anti air, I can only think of S-500 (Which I don’t think would be OP either due to MP), don’t know about other categories
the first abrams not on the american tech tree couldve gone to actual allied nations such as
M1a1SA to UK from australia
M1A2 sep v3 to UK from australia in the future
M1a2 sep v3 to germany/UK through poland in the future most likely germany)
there quite a few nations that use the abrams and china should not have been the first
yes the RoC use it but thats not my point, my point is the Thai vt4 was cancelled to be added because of chinese players crying about it and talking about geopolitical stuff in a game thats supposed to be non political and then seem to have got an abrams as an apology
USSR never left. the only time russias winrate dropped slightly was when the first wave of new SPAA was added
But at least you would get polish TT and play under polish flag, no need to grind Russian lines as long as you could have 10 vehicles at each tier/era. USSR is already just history for many years, but it can’t be erased and shouldn’t. From my observation many people don’t wanna it because of hate towards Russia, or fear of giving access to western vehicles to USSR, due to destroying uniqueness at top tier. All TT are actually going through this, with Israel is the same, some people are happy they will get their Greek TT finally, while other greeks complain because of exactly the same reasons - leopards for Israel, European fighters for Israel, so again copy paste at top tier and obviously racism towards Israel. It’s common probably in all countries around half people always will be antisemitic in one way or another, i am aware of that.
