Them being good for SQB I think is a coincidence not a requirement. Imo, they serve more as a way to get a taster of the tree, without grinding the entire tree.
There is also a few SQV naval vehicles already. A bit like Event vehicles, they serve as a good way to add an alternative variant of existng vehicles (HMS Liverpool for example)
Subtree are ment to fill nations and provide support to the nation that they are being adding to, right?
That is what they claim. Not seen it actually happen yet
That, alongside bringing a nation to the game that otherwise would be split up or even not have a place at all.

Even with subtree, that is already happening, lol
Technically, they are supposed to allow proper representation of nations without new trees.
But it now either band-aid fixes with C&P, with none of the sub-nations domestic/unique stuff
Or in one case, it was to fill a tree with wose options as a way to further nerf that nation.
I’m not saying they’re doing any of this right, just that this is the basic idea behind subtrees
@Smin1080p_WT Sorry to bother you, but I’ve always been curious about this. Are the developers planning to add more squadrons vehicle for the navy?
The air force already has 21 vehicle squadrons, and the tanks has 17, while the navy is in dire straits… The navy only has 4! Only four! That’s a huge difference…(
For many years now the fleet squadron has not received anything…
Any ETA on sound mods coming back?
Sub-trees are better than being a split nation, but at the same time, every last one has major issues, which makes just not having anything operated by that nation in-game look better.
So, currently, the only way for domestic/unique stuff to end up as tech-tree is a new tree. Because even with our worst independent trees, they had to fill the gaps with unique vehicles. Unique sub-tree with their line or less space, which can easily be filled with at best variants of stuff in game.

The list started good but converge to somewhere I am not interested in. Therefore here is my picks for what interested me most:

F-16C Block 30 that will replace F-16 ADF at 13.3 (Therefore removing ADF to 12.7 without AIM-120s)
