If you just fire at everything you see, you’re gonna run out of missiles for targets with a relatively high pK than if you just launch what’s essentially a Hail Mary.
In a 250 x 250 km map for example, you’ll rarely run into people for a dogfight, so cannon rounds are safe.
The only ‘obstacle’ is fuel management.
Man, gaijin needs to do something about people crashing to deny kills. I’ve had it happen like 6 games in a row now. Its like when people j out before your missile hits in sim.
Has anyone already play on the new/old “White Rock Fortress” map? I still never got it, and neither did my friends.

2 different roles, the A is a fighter while the I or C is for cas and sead. its a modified A but it will be heavier due to the jammers and added on ground ordinance.
no? F35 is a multi-role, the C is a carrier variant, I is the israeli modified variant, A is the normal variant an B the VTOL/STOVL variant, all can perform SEAD/DEAD, CAS, escorting and air-air combat
F35I has a better EW and EA suite because it was modified to combat against iranian s300 and s400 and other russian anti-air used by iran it’s just an A model with better senors and EW EA suite made for their specific needs
The B is likely the variant you would want to use in A2A combat the least though because of the extra weight from the VTOL
i added on to it, and yes it will be heavier than a base model A due to modifications. As for the F35C vs F35A i mixed up the carrier variant and vtol so your right the F35B is the fat amy.
f35b is 1.5 ton heavier than the a model, so i doubt ppl would use it for anything other than BVR and long range ground attack
it also carries less fuel due to the added vertical lift fan
Yep, based upon the rumour list , its likely going to be Britains only 5th Gen for a while though, But hopefully ASRAAM and Meteor would compensate for the weaker FM
if gaijin continues to add Australian jets to the uk we could be looking a an F35B and F35A
Heres hoping they dont do that bs with “oh it could maybe carry this so everybody gets a fiction missile loadout”. They did that to the AH64E the last thing we all need is a 12 F35 variants with meteors…
Thats true, didnt think of that, we have also ordered As but the list said that they wouldnt add ordered aircraft, only delivered or something to that effect. Though ASRAAM and Meteors would still be a good way to balance the Bs vs A/C/Is
well british F35B and american F35As can carry meteor missiles, infact american F35As have gone through trails into allowing the adding of meteors to the internal ordinance bay
Only Britain should get ASRAAMs, but I would be okay with all B variants getting Meteors to off set their weaker FM (and smaller internal weapon load?), All A/C/Is should stick with D3s though
