i think we have enough sukhois in game for now give us the mig35, however something i think they should do is give the su27SM r77-1 and move it to 14.0 and then move the premium su30 to 13.7
Su-27SM cannot use R-77-1, only SM3 can.
from what i know isnt it just
Incorrect missile count. (from the TotallyRealTM dual racks)
Incorrect radar, should be N011M-R instead N035. (Funny thing, Gaijin still have it named “N035E”… as in the export variant…)
It’s lacking countermeasures (like 14 or something idr) alongside this the model is still incorrect.
It was added with entirely wrong engines, due to recent developments I believe a handful of 30SM2’s might’ve finally gotten them but I’m not sure.
A decent handful of it’s loadouts are just flat out fictional but that’s an issue on 34/30SM as well.
And because why not
The Su-30SM/SM2 platforms are still overpreforming since they’re lighter than they should be iirc. (it’s like 500kg diff iirc but whatever)
Personally I’d just prefer being able to use both, even if one is copy paste, but that’s nothing new these days.
why tho, what the reason
I just gave it to you.
because the Su-27SM uses the same fire control system with the N001VEP as the SM3
The radar is not the entire fire control system. There’s code that needs to be edited or added to integrate weaponry properly. It’s why F-35’s integration of Meteor has been taking ages.
As mentioned above, N001VEP’s WCS needed changes to utilize R-77-1, Su-27SM lacks said changes while Su-27SM3 has them.
Then take some APCR shells. Those have enough penetration and the front of the Tiger II earlies turret is flat enough to not cause shattering.
I swear its very rewarding seeing Tiger players fume about getting frontally penned by a US 75 because literally everyone and their mother keep forgetting APCR is a thing and is excellent at dealing with Tiger flat plates.
so how can you be sure that no Su-27SM ever recived that update, especially since its litterally the same radar as the SM3 and thus uses the same code
Because Su-27SM3s were made from Su-27SMs and other stockpiled airframes? Why would they apply one upgrade from SM3 without just making it a full SM3… Anyways, if you wanna go into “What if’s” be my guest but I won’t entertain them.
ontop of that its not like the r-77 and r-77-1 are vastly different missiles in their design
They are rather different however… Different motor, different guidance section, different seeker… for my tastes, that’s pretty different missile compared to R-77.
And about the top part, just because Su-27SM3 was planned to be equipped with R-37M, R-74M, Kh-59M and KAB-500S, does not mean Su-27SM would be capable of using said weapons if SM3 got them.
N001VEP page mentions RVV-SD for an modernization update later on, im assuming the SM3 only got those as part of the SM3 upgrade package since that is what has been reported most times
