Theres a few vids online but you’d have a road with a small hanger built into the side of a hill with a small road for the jet to get on a small runway and take off, i know some had fake tree curtains. Sweden essentially had aircraft stationed everywhere. No need for refueling in the air.

Although u do also have a viggen at 11.0 with 4 9ls which is a bit mad to me when planes like the tonka are not allowed that low because “reasons” (i dont think any super sonic jet should be at 11.0 with all aspect missiles, cough mig 23, cough mig 25, btw).

Yeah but all this on a platform THAT quick, there are 10.0 and 10.3 jets without countermeasures that cant even run away from this monster, its in the same boat as the mig 21 and other russian jets with r60ms where i dont think a jet that can outrun most things should be able to see something without countermeasures. Imagine a mirage 3c having to face this let alone a mig 25 with no countermeasures, no rwr all while having a worse fm…

Blame compression regardless i hate to tell you but a Mirage IIIE is a fair fight against the Viggen the AJS isn’t as good as you’re thinking it is lmi remember having to fight MIG 29 and F16 every damn match, this thing is definitely in a better spot now but its not good enough for anything higher than 11.0
I dont think anything with 9ls on a super sonic air frame with countermeasures and a usable rwr at 11.0 can be called bad. It just requires a little more thinking perhaps, i use the sea harrier by climbing and firing the 9ls like rods from god which seems to work out just fine, this seems far more capable than my sea harrier.
The 3c if no missiles are in play, the 3e is a fat tub of lard which requires the rocket booster to stay in the air.
Plus this all coming from a jet that by all rights could be 10.3 but is limited by its countermeasures, or lack of them.
3C runs circles around the JA37C, i used the 3E because they are more similar in performance
Im about to get the viggen myself so i may change my mind in the spading process but i just cant fathom it being as bad as you say when it has that much thrust? have they borked the fm like they did with the drakens perhaps?
