Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Except the FRS1e doesnt.

It’s current skin is its peace-time skin prior to the falklands. They were painted on route to the Falklands at the same time they were modified to fit Aim-9Ls.

Either the NAS 809 skin or a grey skin would be the most accurate and apporpiate for the airframe. Its also wierd using a peacetime camo in combat. As it stands the Argentine valor skin should have been given to the FRS1e not the FRS1 which was in the post falklands fit currently. Though imo, needs to be upgraded to the pre-FA2 fit bar weapons

It makes money so yes

Im also not against them for people who wanna grind as they are slightly different looking tanks to their counterparts and offer non anime skins which help them look pretty cool imo.

The skin is of an early FRS.1(e). Exactly what it is.

Its weapon set doesn’t define its skin. Thats a balancing factor. The all-over Grey is already present on the later FRS.1.

Still a shame it has a terrible skin and 0 alternatives in-game. the bright blue makes you stand out like a sore thumb, and thats without the wet bonfire of smoke coming out the back of the airframe.

I missed that part, but it should be able to guide on teammates’ radar data even if you turned away, I don’t think any other IIR missiles have that currently.

9X block 2 has 2 way datalink as well

figure of speech lmao

I am financially stable.

That’s not two-way datalink as I understand it. Regular MICA has 3rd party targeting feature as well, but doesn’t have 3rd party datalinking the missile itself during its transit.

i mean missile talking back to the host carrier after launch is 2 way datalink no?

What you’re seeing here is that the teammate aircraft transmitted information to the host aircraft. The host aircraft then fired the missile using teammate’s initial targeting information.

You can see that the Rafale with original MICAs have this capability as well.

ah that makes sense.
What are the requirements for 2 way datalink then vs normal datalinnk?

According to MBDA, two-way datalink is network centric enabled with two explicit features, maybe there’s more but these are the two we know for sure.

  1. Being able to be guided by AWACs, fighters, and other assets (potentially ground to air surface radars and ships?)

  2. Capable of in-flight retargeting.

Couldn’t Italy receive the aircraft on which they actually tested ECRS MK-0 instead?

I honestly don’t understand why such AESA representation was added for Italy at all, like is it always necessary to have absolutely identical capabilities for each Typhoon nation?

I truly don’t care. I would find it funny if Gaijin added the Senrai Lords just to add male anime characters but I doubt they would sell well. Buy there are women gamers and guys that would like them if there designed well.

I just want more tonks

Nah screw that.
We need moar lizards vs BIG BUFF MEN.
Hella memes

More stuff for Sweden is always welcome

So an AIM-174, 9X-2, and GBU-53 would all be 2-way DL for sure

Do you think they’re gonna add the VBCI Philoctète to France as well, when they’ll release the Greek tech tree ?

Looks like AIM-9X Block 2 has two way datalink, but is there anything confirming AIM-174 has it as well?
