to be fair some countries have this already so why should some get treated differently
The only think we lacked in that BR range, was a supersonic dogfighter. We’ve got decent subsonic dogfighters and BVR trucks, but there isnt much in the way of a dogfighter, and that is what the F-18s bodged.
Though the Top tier F-18 was a bit of a waste of time and I would have prefered a few other options

Id have taken F3 Op Granby, GR9A, etc etc over them, but anything to avoid soviet C&P

People from these countries that have been split are some of the most vocal voices about why splitting trees is bad, I don’t think they would complain if another operator nation wasn’t in two different trees.

i mean that out of all the supersonic dogfighters they picked the one whose only advantage is low speed AoA
well theres a few scimitar variants in the files which i suspect will be in the next BP
True, but that is still more than the F3s have for example. We’ve got great BVR trucks, but dont have much in the way of a dogfighter (bar the harriers, which have their own flaws)
F14 better supersonic dogfighter it can adapt

fixing harriers would have been the best outcome for the US and UK in this scenario funny enough

It is, at least they are doing much better these days, but still got a number of things needing fixing
