Yeah this I wouldn’t be suprised to see the AESA EFT this update and then 5th gen in june or september.
So 6-9 more months of top tier being Rafale + EFT stomping grounds and maybe then we finally see another meta shift.
hopefully it comes with meteor and asraam/ iris-t so i dont have to grind out 430k rp for just a radar…

Yrsh not that soon, maybe they’ll be added to them in a future update.
The current EFT is already incredible, an AESA EFT would be even stronger.
So adding an AESA EFT with stronger missiles from the get go is just asking for something to go wrong balance wise. (For any nation without a Rafale of course, France will be fine regardless).
EDIT: this goes for other airframes and missiles as well.

I doubt stealth will change much at all if long range IIR missiles are added, especially MICA IR and ASRAAM when paired with the respective IRST systems

I’m thinking they’ll keep 5th gens for December next year, but it could be likely for more advanced missiles this update, especially if they add an AESA EFT.

I just want another plane than the Rafale (and to a lesser extend the EFT) to be at the top of the food chain.
I don’t care which nation(s) is/are getting the new top dogs but please just anything.
realistically the only options are the su35 and f15ex, maybe f16v but i doubt it would cope well

Su35 is probably looking to be the 2nd best after the Rafale, unless (I hope) they bring an AESA Typhoon and remodel the Aim-120’s performance.
Su30 is already very good in this meta, so a basically faster version of it with more electronics should close the gap further.

I think that even the 77-1 could see a remodelled seeker, before jumping to newer missiles like the 77M.
Imo if they go ahead and remodel the seekers, they should do that for every other missile too.
we wont get R-77M its the counter part to the AIM-120D
Yeah until 5th gens the Eurofighter with AESA will be the top dog (so long as its radar actually works and it doesn’t come in the same state the current EFT’s did).
The F-15EX will most likely be able to contend with it but stuff like the F-16 Block 70 will fall short, especially the Super Hornet.

yeah, tranche 4 will dominate everything ( unless gaijin decides to use the stats of it based off their opinions instead of real data)
