There are pros and cons. Its not perfect, like being forced to player certain brackets and not just being able to pick any BR.

just make all brackets open at once and it would be better then the current system in every way
Even then, the nice thing about the rolling brackets is that the meta one rotation isnt meta the next.
With the current implementation there would still be better options every bracket and thus certain aircraft would get screwed.
(for example, in GSB, why play something like the FV4030/3 when the base Chally 2 is in the same bracket, I think, dont quote me on that though)
So id either want both, or a rolling set of curated Brackets… but it just gets messy fast

You can still use vehicles that were hidden for being unrealistic and as far as I can tell they don’t remove any of the problematic copy paste either

At least the Bhishma actually looks different (at least while the dozer blade isn’t installed lol)
The Shermans legitimately all look the same unless they use some unusual camo
Maybe, I still see that distinctive T-90 shape and react accordingly, but then catch myself. Defiently doesnt look like a Leopard or Abrams and it tricks enough players that ive seen plenty of Indian T-90s infilitrate the other teams spawn and they always warn in chat that they are doing it
But yes, Shermans on both team is really dumb.
Italys tech tree truly is a blessing to the GSB gameplay

Though, to be fair, Japan is guilty of this as well
Using a vehicle that isn’t available on both sides can actually screw you over at this point, because you have to check if the tank you are looking at is a friend or a foe, while they will instantly know that you are an enemy

I’m still convinced air SB (maybe even RB since it’s also without lineups) could get some more intricate matchmaking based on operator rather than techtree nation. That way it’s really only mixed teams when players force it through squadding and we can have more reasonable setups such as East / West Germany on opposing sides.
There’d still be things like the West German MiG-29G or the Indian East / West mix, but at that point it’s just what the nations had anyways, personally I don’t mind in such cases.
Sadly doesn’t work for ground, since it’s fixed selections there, and editing those too much might just mess with lineups, but even here I’m sure there’s some better way.

Honestly you’d have an easier ranking the worst sub-trees than the best. (Now que everyone jumping on me and telling me ZA is the best(it’s not if you take 3 seconds to look at the bigger picture))
As it’s a case of unique vs need. And yes those seem to be mutually exclusive.
If you take a look at the sub-trees that have the most unique vehicles as tech tree you’ll notice the host tree is missing a lot of domestic/domestically operated stuff, well the ones need are mostly or completely made out of C&P.
