Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

I… am…

Kinda dreading it too, because Gaijins “fixes” can be really hit and miss at times.

What is needed and what they have planned being the same thing is fairly rare

We actually know enough about it to know there is a good chance it will be mediocre:

  • Mobility wise it will be worse than pretty much any of the Abrams, except maybe the SEPv2 with TUSK II equiped.

  • Armor is bad, but then again it’s a light tank.

  • It will have M900 which is okay, but the reload is unknown and up to Gaijin.

So you end up with a light tank with mediocre mobility, that isn’t sneaky as it’s pretty big, and has okay firepower if placed at 11.0 (however it’s firepower becomes mediocre if placed at 11.3+.

hopefully HOSBO for the EFTs so they can finally get a FnF weapon even if it is only a glide bomb

Eh, while F&F would be nice, but the Drop speed of Mach 1 makes it kinda meh

Could it be 10.7 or 10.3?

better then still being the only top tier jet with zero fnf weapons

Imo 11.0 would be a fine BR for it, you could do 10.7 but it could be argued that would be a bit of a stretch.

However seeing where the VT-5 is I just have a feeling Gaijin will just add it at 11.7 no matter if it’s actually good enough for that BR.

Yeah, that restriction on the GBU-62s make them quite undesirable. Hard to get the EFT below M1 half the time

As far as I know the Rafale doesn’t even carry unique weapons in Indian service and the initial Su-30MKI would literally just be a copy of the Su-30SM (yes, I know, the MKI came first IRL, but that’s not the case in-game)

hey would mean KH38MT and Hammers at least lol

Well, a lot of people would like to see blufor and redfor seperated, especially for Sim battles

Not only does it make Sim painful to play when there are carbon copies of your side in the enemy team (or vice verse), it also makes the trees less unique and a lot of the trees less appealing over-all

Why play tree X when tree Y offers copies of tree Xs vehicles as well on top of tree Ys unique stuff

I think the moral of the story is western jets should be on one side and eastern jets on the other so that doesnt happen

The MKI would NOT be copypaste bruh, it would probably have the most varied loadout options

The INITIAL Su-30MKI would be copy paste

The Super Sukhoi wouldn’t, but the box standard Su-30MKI would 100% be copy paste

The MKI is receiving constant upgrades, it has already evolved significantly since the “initial” version
Have you read the suggestion?

Yes, and what does that have to do with the initial version being c&p?

My bad I missed the “initial” word in your message
Though we don’t really need the initial one unless we get a full Indian tree (which I still support, though I know the whole idea is dead and burried)

No worries

While I would hate to see any variant of the Su-30MKI in the British tree, I would be way more accepting of a later modification of it or the Super Sukhoi. At least those would bring some interesting weapons.

This is WT, Gaijin will hop on every opportunity to C&P and add multiple versions of the same vehicle to extend the grind :)

Still an Su-30.

Why Grind the Soviet tree when you can grind Britian (Mig-29s, Su-30)
Why grind the French tree when you can grind Britain (Mirages and Rafale)
Why grind the Swedish tree when you can grind Britain (Gripen)
Why grind the German tree when you can grind Britain (Tornado, Typhoon, Mig-29)
Why grind the Italian tree when you can grind Britain (Harrier, Tornado, Typhoon, Mig-29, Gripen)

Wouldnt take much more to add the US to that list as well (F-18. In the future F-16 and F-15 from Singapore?)

Just stupid from a buissness point of view as it defeats the point of grinding multiple nations, especially if you dont care about the unique mods and just want something generic.

Let’s be real here, me and you both know that blue vs blue or red vs red isn’t a stranger in real life as it may seem. Many modern air forces will have a mix of blue and red aircraft especially minor nations.

Some are even active today on the battlefield in eastern europe with even footage from a couple of days ago showing off red aircraft going after red targets.
