At least you’re alive, they fixed the Ammo rack bug, and the right way to play it is defensively on caps anyway. I checked stats and most players do abysmal in it so i get why people would think it’s trash.
I sincerely expect the Ajax will be made of cardboard in game.

I would be surprised if those composite screens provide even 50mm of KE protection in wt

Though choice tbh, in an uptier it could be held in check by the Rafales, but if it faces a full downtier with next to no rafales it could rule the lobby, that is ofc if they push the max br to 14.7.
As a 40mm enjoyer myself I do think the Ajax would give some general purpose capability in the british tech tree as it works OK against both ground and air targets. I find that’s valuable.

Ooh… I didnt really think about AA capabilities of the Ajax, if it had target tracking and maybe a prox fuse shell/AHEAD? (I genuinely dont know what rounds it has), it would definetly be a big help in countering drones. We are a little lacking in that area at the moment. Also useful for dealing with early game heli rushes and maybe even the odd anti-aircraft sniping

My guess is that it uses common ammunition, should be same as EBRC Jaguar as it’s the same gun?
IIRC Jaguar has a distance fuzed shrapnel round (like AHEAD) and a distance fuzed HE round, in War Thunder the fuze is controlled by the IRST air track which I believe the AJAX should have but don’t quote me
