So a better option would be for Germany to get the aircraft of other countries? Because people would probably complain more about that.

For Britain the solution to a limited domestic air tree is simple because there is the entirety of the Indian air force that can be added in the future (Rafale, Su-30, MiG-29, Tejas) and the other Commonwealth hornets (Super Hornet and the Canadian AESA Hornet)

For Germany the solution isn’t so simple, since Swiss Air Force is tiny and most of the aircraft have already been added, except the Vampire, Venom and P-51.

The Gripen C i do get though as it was less of trial but was supposed to be a stop gap to the Gripen E but i don’t think the Gripen E is something they will add to Germany

2 were tested in Switzerland, and the contract to lease 12 for 5 years was singed but it was later cancelled due to the referendum.

I don’t see the need for it in the GER tree then. Trialed vehicles should only come if it fills a gap nothing else can.

germany doesnt need a gripen C, and the E is debatable but under such loose connections of a trialled jet for a sub nation it shouldn’t come

Thats good to hear.

However, no shortage of CAS does not equal effective CAS. The Harrier and Jaguar have fairly limited CAS effectiveness in the face of SPAA, compared to the A4Es and Hunter F.58, for example.

Also, there was no shortage for CAS for Germany at the time the Hunter was introduced either. Yet it was added to provide a capability the air tree did not possess at that time, similar to the state of the British tree, both before and after its addition.

Again, the fact that China is getting trailed vehicles from its sub-tree makes it fair game now. If China can get an Oplot there is no reason Germany can’t get Gripens in the future, especially since there are no more aircraft left to come and every sub-tree option except for Switzerland has been denied.

@Smin1080p_WT will we perhaps in the future see a danish skin(s) for the norwegian f16 like we have dutch skins for the belgian f16 in game?

I always understood that as just an extension of “just because X nation operates it, doesn’t mean X nation will get it”. So basically saying the game is limited to not being able to add everything that exists all at once, and the devs won’t promise that everything will be added.

But that doesn’t mean there is any less of a possibility to add vehicles just because they are from a subtree, instead they just choose based on the same criteria, just with more options to fit whatever they are looking for.

They are not even getting trailed vechiles they are just straight up getting the Thai one because Pakistan trialed an Oplot. They were too lazy to model a different oplot. :(

This would be like adding a normal Challenger 2 to Israel because the trialed a Challenger 2E it is just sad

Lol, that actually reminds me that Israel will probably be the first and only country to get a Challenger 2 outside of Britain.
