It is, or at least that’s what was said when it was asked about, last I’d seen.
Well then the gripen e is pointless
Mode 2 allows the target to be selected prior to launch.
And that is largely a game only issue, combined with the very very small map sizes. It would be trivial for Gaijin to simply give it a form of IFF to mitigate this issue
There isn’t a limit currently, however the second one was only just added.

How is it pointless with better thrust to weight, 3 more missiles and the best radar in game till prolly the irbis, and so much more ground ordinance and maws and stuff
it does get more hardpoint i think,
You get to take air to air missles and a2g at the same time i think.

Brimstones do not use IR guidance, but MMW with LOAL.
Yeah, because the airframe, being rated for 7.5Gs, can handle up to 11.25. That’s the 1.5x thing there, that doesn’t mean the AIRFRAME is rated for those Gs. You can’t then take that 10-11Gs and put the 1.5 on there, that’s double dipping.
As for the blackout thing, maybe? I’m less familiar with how exactly that is coded.
for ARB it would get 9 missiles which would be a huge upgrade, but the gripens main weapons is the meteor and IRIS-t so it doesnt make sense to give it aim-120
tell that the eurofighter that has to play against the busted rafale with micas as well

The answer was generally referring to nations that don’t yet have an AESA armed aircraft and filling those. Japan currently does with the F-2.
In the future, other vehicles may indeed appear if a nation operates those. But once again, a sub tree does not mean everything ever possible may come.

gripen e can get derbies and 120s as well

they will probably just add the super hornet. An aesa f16/f15 would be nice tho
You know if you really think about it the only reason that the Benelux was added to France was so they can get an F-35 when gen 5 comes just saying.

The problem of the rafale is the micas iwith their absurd WVR capabilities, the addition of Aim 9X, IRIS-T and ASRAAM would balance that already
