Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Sturmi would be awesome

We could get 3 models too!!

1 with no concrete armor and with add on side skirts and the commander screen.
1 with the track and concrete armor and log side armor

And the last could have either armor and be given the APDS round they made for it in the 60’s

Correct me if I’m wrong, but could the lack of a leak indicate the Swedish addition isn’t something remarkable or super unique?

too much armour. We’d need DM83 equivalents to balance those :P

Sometimes they just don’t include stuff in leaks to surprise us

At this point. Im kinda expecting Gripen E with IRIS-T in December.

Probably a Finnish Hawk for Sweden this update

Not the exact same. GBU-53 fully exists and has been dropped, it’s in service right now

Wasn’t the leak for HAWK 200? However it seems Finland has the regular Hawk. Is the difference too much for the ol’ C&P?

It was but to a degree a Hawk is a Hawk. Just because it isnt listed, doesnt mean it wouldnt be there.

Could be the devblog would be the Hawk 200 with a “we are also adding hawks to X and Y nations as well”

Im not sure on exact differences (in terms of model, loadout and equipment obviously differ greatly) but im sure they cant be that big. But i guess we’ll have to wait and see

i can top that

Iam doing poorly in all ground vehicles

There’s fairly major structural and capability differences between the Hawk 200 and the Hawk Mk.51/Mk.66 Finland has.

Hu, fair enough, though large portions can probably be reused at the least.

Not really, youd need to change a majority of it and the cockpit ia entirely unique to the Finnish as Patria redid the HUD and modernized it

Are you actually expecting that to be modeled without a retroactive report?

Almost none actually, the entire fuselage is a slightly different shape forwards of the wings, the tail is different in lots of minor ways, the wing itself is an entirely new larger wing, the cockpit is entirely different to the Mk.50s and Mk.60s.
It’s a little bit like comparing a Harrier and a Harrier 2. They are in principle very similar, until you squint or put them side by side.

Just a reminder, it took 9 months to go from the standard AV-8A cockpit to the actual Sea Harrier cockpit, then another 15 months for the HUD to be “changed” and 9 months on we are still waiting for it to be finished.
