Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Hell there are much higher vehicles withour RWR lol, unfortunately you’re entering britain gets nothing good evere territory and if the Hawk 200 gets placed below 11.3 its going to be used by everyone to claim britain isn’t treated poorly. That just how these additions go.

Was also in the Canadian moments of valor trailer

Per Smin: That’s not a game asset, being shown off in a MoV means nothing

Modelling isn’t that simple lmao.

Okay before you just claim Viggens why not mention the difference cause they aren’t the same or is checking too hard for you to do?

AJS can only take 4 9L and that means no CM pod and no gun. Or you take 3x 9L and have a gun or CM pod or 2x 9L and one gun pod and CM pod, and your outer wing tips are just aim 9P3 lol also a spaded AJS/AJ has worse flight performance than a stock JA37C due to the weaker engine. At least try to do some research before spouting stuff pls.

Resume

Canadian one as it showed the Canadain CF-188 skin and such

I was just saying in iraq lav crews would drive in and do med evac for armor crews. Which grants a part in the moments of valor videos gaijin does IMO. They were a huge role in the invasion of iraq.

My bad it was the Aussie one

think of it this way, instead of it being a spotlight for transmitting and receiving radiation, ie radar waves, its a rave, radar scans are a lot faster and a lot more frequent allowing the radar to be more powerful, and more accurate than your typical PESA radar

although this is a very basic description of what it does, it gives you a better idea of such

instead of using mechanical means to move a single large antenna around, it uses “timing” phasing of multiple smaller “antennas” transceivers to steer the direction of the beam without having to move the dish

Spoiler

Phased_array_animation_10_frames_371x400px_100ms

i hope the gif helps to visualize it a bit

this lets you steer it a lot faster because youre not limited to the constraints of “how fast can i make this move before it shakes itself apart”

A very big generalization. It can search with multiple beams at once, but only at shorter ranges. After certain distance, the radar will have to focus into a singular beam, or a stack of beams.
For example exMHR at ranges around 24km is capable of scanning its whole fov at once (persistent hemisphere).

But at longer ranges, it needs to focus into a directional beam (standard scanning known from MSA radars).

Very hard to respond when I don’t know what your waiting on a response for.

Many weapons have been in the files for years. It doesn’t mean they are coming soon or ever in some cases.

If there was a licence problem or something akin to that, it would not be in the game files at all.

The devs have been very clear, its a balancing reason why Python 4 is not present currently in game.

has the “why” ever been explained? i havent been paying much attention to the python 4 discussion but it might clear things up if we are told specifically what makes the missile too good to be added right now.
that goes for a lot of things now im thinking about it. just a “because we said so” usually isnt enough

Because it’s both shut eye and FoV reducing at the same time? Plus good overall flight performance.

Are you aware of why no ePaveway II (Currently missing from GR7, GR4 and FGR4)

And if its some wierd licensing issue, any reason we’ve not gotten a direct equivalent placeholder like GBU-48?

it would not be very nice to play given how the 25mm performs

its not like gaijin hasnt artificially nerfed things to make them fit before

i think you are confusing with mechanical radar , both AESA and PESA radars use electronic beam steering , however AESA radars have separate transistor and receiver modules vs PESA radar only has one for all , as a result AESA radar is better and faster than PESA radar (but both are significantly better than mechanical radar) AESA radar’s main advantage is that it can work in different frequencies simultaneously vs PESA using the same on all. (aesa radar will have a big advantage in jamming).
