The UK doesnt use the Hawk 200, its an export plane, so I mean its not like we even getting a domestic Hawk first anyway lmao.
It would also allow us to get a GPS phat bomb in the UK with silly range akin to others.
No internal gun with the radar, was never fitted on the Radar equipped demonstrator (ZJ201) or production models.
I was comparing it to the Shars, the Hawk 200 is basically a side grade to them that trades acceleration and vtol for radar missiles and better CAS. If the Hawk 200 had 9Ls it would basically remove any reason (apart from vibes) to play the Shar :shrug:, considering SARH would comfortably make up the range difference.
Shar FRS.1 (11.0):

Hawk 200:

There is 1 jet with 9Ls in ARB and it’s the A-10 with a max speed of like sub-700 kph lmao. The rest are 2x9L at 10.7 (except the A-10A again which gets 4), and 4x9L at 11.0 if your lucky. Considering that the Hawk 200 also gets SARH I think it would be higher if it got 9Ls, which I categorically don’t want.
The Hawk 200 would be a decent fighter :shrugs: the Hawk 120 would still be CAS focused

Was trying to go a little lower personally (12.3 ARB is a pretty painful area for subsonics IMO)
I feel like given it’s subsonic we should be aiming for lower rather than higher etc
