Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

its still just funny how you put the UK with the literal best nations in the game for FnF weapons, there has also been no conformation we will get the AH-64E this patch (I dont know why we wouldnt but it is gaijin so eh)

Maybe that’s the vehicle Smin is excited for

You could always ping him and ask ;-)

doubt it smin normally like weird and wacky stuff from what I know anyway

I cant wait for the greek subtree to be an M48, leopard , T80 and leopard 2 variants and not any light tanks or spaa that the israeli tree needs.

I mean the T-80 or Leopard 2 are basically guaranteed. We know Gaijin often prioritizes adding new “play styles” with subtree vehicles, and the T-80 and Leopard 2 perform pretty differently from the Merkava…

But I do agree that attention needs to be paid to closing actual gaps with unique vehicles.

Hey @Smin1080p_WT

I’m curious if there are any plans for Germany to get their exported versions of the Leopard 2 that are either already in the game or possibly will be coming to the game.

The two variants I mean to specify here are:

  • Leopard 2A7+, currently represented through Hungary with the 2A7HU
  • Leopard 2A6EX, probable to be represented through Greece with the 2A6HEL

While Germany does have a large amount of Leopard 2s already, the Leopard 2K line was stated to be for export and prototype variants. These would make a good end-of-the-line addition as they fall under that description.

like other people have said before me im fine with germany getting these but I would rather they wait on adding them till everyone has a 2A7 equal and not give germany yet another one

Hey. New Leopard 2A7 variants are not planned anytime soon. Naturally its always possible Germany may get more Leopards in the future, its certainly not in the short term expectancy to see more.

I guess Germany’s fate will always to be worse at being Germany than Sweden is xD

lol still in a better spot then most nations we can always hope for a fix to the 2a6 and 2a7 to make them better but wouldnt hope for a new tank

I would even settle for a basic Leopard 2A7, with no armor improvements (only UFP), but 3rd gen thermals.

Or hell, even a Leopard 2A6M3, which, again, just has 3rd gen thermals with no armor improvements.

That way, German Leopards would have SOMETHING over the Swedish ones, hahah. Even if at least just thermal sight quality.

And I’m not going to lie; at this point, I value thermal quality more than armor, almost.

I hope this surely means that we’ve a chance to get the most advanced 2A4 :p

Fun fact, this is the variant they went for Pax in Battlefield 6!

I always thought it was just MBT Revolution, but after noticing some visual differences, I went on to study it more in depth… and I found a suggestion on these Forums that allowed me to learn a lot about it!

This is no regular Revolution. It’s a 10 year more recent variant, with significant improvements. I would 100% dig it!

EDIT: I just saw you were the one to make the suggestion hahahahah

They… aren’t though? they are on par with each other barring some super specific stuff if anything and for that matter i don’t really think either are struggling at anything in particular either. there are nations that need far more attention than either Germany or Sweden do barring maybe giving Sweden an SPAA that works but they seem to be doing fine without it anyways.

I knew a BF6 post was coming up on this XD

Is having nearly twice as much hull armor (750mm KE over 450) plus full spall liner coating really such a “super specific” thing…?

As an all-nation player, I always want the best for every nation. I don’t view this as a competition where “someone needs something more than someone else”.

I don’t think Germany getting on par with Sweden is mutually exclusive to other nations catching up too.

1st isn’t a great example since it took a lot to even get the same engines on the E as the I, and the I is still outright better
