That’s the modus operandi with subtrees recently. Except for a couple vehicles/unique modifications, everything is just the same. I’m not much into the topic but I bet Greece had some interesting projects such as the Leonidas. Cyprus will probably just give Israel a T-34.
Still, Greece and Cyprus have got 0 connection with Israel, it’s just an arbitrary decision that feels so out of touch. What do developers use as the base argument to add a subtree to X nation? It doesn’t seem to be historic/cultural/political roots anymore…
Not likely for this year. Back in 2024, BVVD said that while new independent nations were planned, the focus for 2025 would be on sub-trees.
Smin already clarified that the United Korea tree isn’t necessarily coming soon and isn’t necessarily the next tech tree, just that it is planned. So I wouldn’t expect to see the Korean tech tree any sooner than next year.
Working on a “Eastern Europe” concept tree right now, on the leak the first 3 nations were Poland and Czechoslovakia so we decided to use those to make the base of it first. It’s already a bit big so we will see what we will ultimately do with it in the future, but I will make sure to keep you guys updated.
No, they only thinking about adding Korea as a playable nation because the topic was high on ASEAN stuff already but doesn’t mean it’s 100% will be in the next update or even be the next playable nation.
So between now and Korea they may add another new nation.
@Smin1080p_WT Sorry for the ping, but would you mind explaining why Israel was chosen as the place for Greece/Cyprus? I’m pretty sure they don’t seem to have any connection, argueably not even geographical. What’s the base argument?
Primarily the aim of the sub tree will be to diversify the available vehicles to Israel and provide the tree with options it would otherwise not have in terms of vehicle gameplay.
