BUK 3 for russia, SAMP/T for Italy and France were considered as stated in the video from Devil above. UK is currently unknown but will most probably get CAMM / CAMM MR (IRIS-T SLM equivalents, one a bit worse, one a bit better in range)

The S-350 will be the best
very very similar to the IRIST
the Buk has a minimum range of 3km which is very ineffective in the war thunder playstyle, will put ussr at a disadvantage

S350 ARH missiles have ranged similar to the Franco-Italian SAMP/T, that is 120km max range. Absolutely not similar to the IRIS-T SLM.
I believe there’s a proposed IR missile with smaller range, but it’s apparently not used on the ground variant, only the naval one, which is indeed more similar to IRIS-T SLM - edit : correct me on that if I am wrong

yea like i mean it will be similar as in how effective the IRIST is
range, speed and turn thingy is pretty similar, main issue i have with the Buk is that it has a 3km minimum range, you wont be able to shoot a Heli down if it is 2.5 km from you
There’s a brochure for the missile stating minimum 3km engagement. I would guess it’s because it’s a relatively slow accelerating missile, although it has a good top speed, it can’t pull hard enough until it reaches is ?
That minimum engagement distance is probably on’y relevant to fast moving jets. Helis interception range is probably smaller, depending on how it manages turns at low speed
For how big a missile it is without TVC it might even be sluggish up to a larger distance, it needs to pick up speed in order to out-G a plane using only aero controls i’d imagine

The S-350 uses two types of active radar homing missiles and one infrared missile. The 9M96 is a medium-range ARH missile with a range of about 40–60 km, while the extended-range 9M96E2/D can reach much farther distances. For gameplay balance, Gaijin could introduce the standard 9M96 first, and later add the longer-ranged E2/D variant if needed. In addition, the system also fields the 9M100, a short-range IR-guided missile with a range of only 10–15 km, designed mainly for close-in defense against aircraft and precision weapons.
