I think “IIR” Gen 5 IR Missiles are going to be here LOOOOOONG before Aim-120D, Meteor, etc. If nothing else. Maps are too small
at least mig-35 will likely be immune to ir missiles due to how ldircm is modeled, so its low cm count wont matter for ir missiles at least
BVVD said something around the lines that they wont add them until everyone has a MAWs or something aroud those lines to defend against them
and that is pretty much possible without adding 5th gens
to be honest. We’ve needed smaller than 16vs16 for about 2 years now or at the very least. reduced density with bigger, more spread out maps.
Reduced inf. signature too to make flaring easier.
