But the Vk.36.01 H isnt, the Hull was actually built, some sources said it was tested with a Pz IV Turret but theres any proof of this turret, also the Vk.30.02 (P) the Porsche Prototype for the Panther that lost to the MAN Vk.30.02 (M) was actually built

Gaijin has implied that they wish to add more air warfare technology before 5th generation aircrafts come into the game and these could be technologies that help late 4th generation aircrafts combat against 5th generation jets. Which of these air warfare technologies could you see coming into the game first?

  • Datalink
  • Electronic Warfare

squad and team datalinks would be nice

I believe they just want everyone on a level playing field before moving to 5th gen

That was AESA technology part iirc, this was something else.

I have been hoping for NK 3601 (H) for so long…

That way, we would have 5.0 Proto-Tiger to accompany 5.0 Proto-Panther.

this part makes me think how they would solve the problem of israel not having a 4++ platform with AESA radar, the only AESA jet in service its the F-35I we would totally need a subtree for that.

This question also extends to Eurofighter nations that have tested AESA radars for their aircrafts but have not put them into service. The only Eurofighters in active service with AESA radars are foreign exports.

I do not ever recall Gaijin giving aircrafts their “tested” radars. Gaijin has refused to give the German Eurofighters their tested IRSTs, so to give Eurofighter countries their tested radars would present a contradiction.

So yes, it will be interesting to see how they resolve this question for Israel, UK, Germany, and Italy.

didnt israel get APG-82v1 for their F-15I’s?

no we dont have F-15I equiped with AN/APG-82s none of Ra´am in service have it sadly and this is a problem.

Really? There are some articles from 2016 about APG-82v1 being selected

The enemy’s new fifth-generation fighter has leveled the playing field.
Details are few, but you can be sure we no longer possess the technological advantage.
Success, now more than ever, comes down to the man or woman in the box.

ECM and it will probably come the same update SEAD does. With the new SAMs being what they are and with even more advanced ones coming in the next updates SEAD seems like the next logical progression for a new mechanic.

(Especially if its something gaijin knows they can sell and make a profit off of it)

problem with ECM is that even older systems on 3rd gens are in some cases still classified

and even more so on modern planes

Ah ok fair enough

nope none of them have APG-82s you can ask to yoyolast or even surbaissemaxxing if dont trust on me, it was just an article that proposal was cancelled after that and just few months ago was aproved the modernization to the standards of the future F-15IA (EX) but the IA would enter in service around 2030 soo… we expect to see the Ra´ams getting upgraded around that time.

They’ve also given the Rafale HMD it “tested” and a missile configuration only used on a foreign model. So. I dont think that really matters.

Besides. I think Germany has begun deployment and may have a few operational aircraft, Britian waited for the better Mk2 but has been fully tested and the upgrades will begin soon and I think Italy has decided to go with the Mk2 which is why they also waited.

I dont think anywhere they have stated that the radar has to be in operational service, like everything else, tested is more that enough and it is really the only option for Germany and Italy and whilst Britain could get a soviet C&P from india, it would be stupid to deny Italy and Germany something because Brtiain got AESA from teh soviets or to give Italy and Germany CAPTOR-E and deny it to Britain.

and if nothing else, as we have seen with things like Paveway IVs, Brimstones, Aim-9Ms, Aim-120C5s and even maybe GBU-64s… Kuwait Typhoons having CAPTOR-E would have probably been more than enough.

Your right. Here’s the thing though. Israel already has an AESA jet, and they never said anything platform specific iirc

Maybe there are more advanced AESA kfir variants Israel can get
