Damn, that is a lot lower than I was expecting. So either the Falcons are going to be totally useless or this thing is going to be game breakingly OP.
to be fair, it does seem comparable to the starfighter and that whole ass BR range is ridiculously compressed

I think I am hearing a random eyeroll sound from Javelin F.9 after I see F-106 became 9.3
Except, neither the F-104 nor the Lightning F6 have all-aspect missiles and they only have 2x missiles which are easily defeated. The F-106 will have 4x SARH or 4x 27G IR Missieles
This thing could easily be 10.0
Yeah… Or even lightning F6. Its denied all-aspect Red tops because they would be too OP, but F-106 gets 4x Super Falcons?
Maybe it is one of another typical Gaijin moment?
Just like keeping Tonka on 11.7 because of mud-moving capability while letting MiG-23ML steal that glory.
If F-106 comes with 4x SARH, maybe Gaijin just thought that F-106 is a slight upgrade of F3H-2 Demon.

Well, I see a lot of low level flying, and hiding in the ground clutter in our future. What is it with Gaijin giving the US a vehicle that forces everyone to fly on the ground

Its interesting… but easily 10.0 material alongside things like Mirage IIIC
I think it will probably go up but i honestly cant see it going higher than 9.7/10.0 unless gaijin is willing to give it the QF-106 CMs (and they already denied those so…)
as others have said its really just another case of the entire 9.0/10.0 BR bracket being a compressed mess than anything.
also worth mentioning the MiG-21S is 9.7 with fairly good radar missiles for its BR range (if only people would stop using it to bomb bases)

Like I said. Mirage IIIC is 10.0. That is probably fairly comprable airframe. 2x good IR and a usable SARH.
Flies worse (at some altitudes) than F-4, still has no flares, limited to 4 missiles, AND they require a direct hit. At 10.0 you might as well not add the thing.
Also I will hear no slander of Red Top. Gimped as they might be, I’ve killed many a Phantom from the front.

R-3R pull 11G, meaning they can be kinematically defeated. Though I hate them at 9.7.
the Super Falcons are 27G, you probably arent going to be able to kinematically defeat them.
Nor will you be able to kinematically defeat the IR version like you can Red Tops and Aim-9Bs on the F-104 or Lightning F6.
The only negative seems to be the SARH Falcons dont have prox fuse
I honestly don’t think the falcons are gonna be anywhere near as good as the FALCO’s on the Mirage IIIS
they have no proximity fuse, so the falcons require a direct hit
and I believe their acceleration will be quite awful, just from browsing the forums so far
Maybe more comparable to the Matra R511 but as of right now, we know next to nothing about how gaijin has modelled them.
