Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

They really do just need to decide on one and stick with it. It’s so frustrating with how it’s currently being handled.

Type 81 Optical lock worked for me just fine against DIRCM helis.

Unless that heli was hovering close to the ground, then it was not kicking in, and all i could do was stare at it.

Yeah…

though gaijin hates consistancy

Locking works for me too if I select optical (automatic doesn’t do it because it prioritizes the backup IR for some reason), but then after launch the missiles sometimes decide to fly away from the target as if their control inputs were inverted.

Tbf it seems to require some level of outside modifications. By this logic US F-15E should get the extra CM dispenser on the I

I still hate that this is how Gaijin think Optical Imaging works… It’s not even how photocontrast works

Except it doesnt. They pick and choose. F-4J(UK)s are just ex-US F-4Js. Just mounted with the missiles the RAF used instead of the USN

That doesn’t apply to the AH-64E, they aren’t ex-US army and if some of them are it’s before the LDIRCM was put on

the F-15E wont get it because it would require a change in the 3D model

it seems that jets only gets compatible armaments
and only if gaijin thinks it is neccessary for example the gripen with the aim9m ingame but iirc sweden went from the aim-9l to the IRIS-T (or atleast never had the Aim-9m)

Haven’t they changed 3d model with bug report before?

Anyways, this just backs up my point for the LDIRCM on AH-64E UK since it would also require a 3d model change

and?

Germany and Italy never used PW4s. They both have PW4s.

Armament vs integrated system that’s a part of the stub wing now

AH-64E tested Brimstone 2, which has a fairly stupid 40km range from helicopters, Probably be closer to 20km in game due to (probably) being restricted to SAL, but still enough to have some protection from SAMs

Then flares on the F-5C. Those were only added because another F-5 had them. They are intergrated part of the aircraft.

Though its gaijin. So probably will be Brimstone 1 SAL only. So 10-12km?

Sitll better than Hellfire, but not as good as it should be

Kind of old example and not a helicopter.

Damn, you like moving the goal post.

We were talking about helicopters from the start. If teapache E got CIRCM it would only be fair for US AH-64E to get whatever Brimstone was tested right? Or they could let US have a good version of its own stuff

Sure, the US can get Brimstones. If that means we can get Spikes and JAGM-MR for our Apache .

But why? Artificially nerf other nations because the US must be the best?

Again, I have yet to see any statement either way that Britain’s AH-64E Dont have DIRCM. Its just an assumption based upon the AH-64D.
