Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

I think he doesn’t mean that specific refit, but that 1937 is when Nagato reentered service after her major rebuild.

Given they have stupidly split the Nagato might as well make sure Nagato is in her 45 config

Yeah I suppose that’s true. Tosa’s in themselves are relatively unknown.

Hi @Smin1080p_WT. I had a quick question about this report : Community Bug Reporting System

The HMSD of the eurotigers was indeed added during this update, but the ability to slave missiles to the HMSD was not. The update is a year old. Is this issue known, and if not, is a new report about it needed ? Other reports specifically on the missile cueing were marked as duplicate leading to this one.
The tigers would really benefit from having the HMS missile cueing implemented, as the mistrals and stingers are not great missiles and often need to be lead towards the target if you want any chance of hitting.

Hey. The last report on the ability to slave missiles was fixed 8 months ago:
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/LBi6QoYb3uIS

So if it’s not correct now, a new report would be needed.

Edit: scratch that, there is an internal report already open on this.

But it actually was not fixed :/
Do you have any idea if something was done following this report ?

Hey Smin! While we still on the topic of missile slaving, do you by chance know reasons behind removal of slaving option for rangefinding radars that are found on early kfirs for example?

Hey. As far as I’m aware it was found not to have them. But if there is information that suggests otherwise, a report is always welcome.

So we’ve confirmed a 625’s entry to WT, will it be 625E or not is my only concern.

It would seem its E. Pointing to that is mirror mounting.

Also the paintwork. Since a 9.7/10.0 SPAA is completely useless and unnecessary. However it being FB10A or just FB10 is also worrying. I am sceptical about Gaijin’s willingness to bring Pantsir contender.

And the fact that the base 625 would be worse at AA than the HQ-17.

Wouldn’t the Type-625E just be Type-81 like IR missiles with an AHEAD ammo Gatling gun?

Tbh the IRIS-T SLS will have ~8km of effective range, so it will be, I don’t want to use this word, but I guess I have to, sidegrade to VT1.

Yes, unless they introduce LOAL. Then it will have much greater range.

Imagine being able to fire and forget long range IR missiles that out range most air to surface weapons

The 625E missile is supposed to have RF/IR seeker.

Oh we are aware and annoyed by that. What we need would be the IRIS-T SLM.
But the problem is we either have short range or the range jumping straight to 40km
And high chances of us getting that. IRIS-T most of the time will be delegated for ammunition interception, even if that sadly gives way less rewards and only works to a point.
If someone comes into or range, well then they are likely dead

Also not having to sit exposed guiding the missile will make it significantly harder for aircraft to shoot you back

not like that will matter for most modern spaas we will get, cause they have to set up and cant quickly fire and move

Yep (tho the Chinese one won’t need to do so)
