- The Gripen E can do dedicated anti-ship, EFT can’t, The Gripen E has better EW and more weapons compatibility (entirety of NATO + Domestic Swedish and Brazilian weapons). And both are around 4x as expensive btw.
- That’s not real. Try submitting that as a bugreport.
wrong, Marte ER
weapon integration is something that can just be added via a software upgrade
you mean the platforms that are actually exported instead of the Gripen E?
it is a render made by the Eurfighter GmbH so it is something that certainly is possible if desired
and also what about the F-15EX and Superhornet?
why dont you try to defend them as well
iirc the twin Meteor rails are also proposed for the future Gripen M by SAAB themself.
Summary
the EF would still be able to carry more missile, as stupid as it is IRL to carry 14 missiles
I know, but same with Rafale F.5 :)
i just noticed that the EF seems to have a flat tire lmao
The new FBW and it being a new build airframe helps a lot from what I’ve heard
that might certainly help but it wont change the fundermental areodynamics of the jet, unless they found a way to ignore the laws of physics or something
The aerodynamics aren’t even bad though
Zusammenfassung
(Cope)
it will still be a heavy F-15 just like the F-15E
what iam saying is that there is only so much you can do with the FBW while keeping the same shape of the aircraft
well, there is always a way to fly better. In that chance if USAF will install GE132 on their F-15EX - it will fly better than F-15E and quite noticable
It sounds expensive, and afaik US doesn’t use 132 on anything else. So it would mean no existing spare parts, making it even more expensive and unlikely
key word is IF they do that, currently they haven’t
its like how the EFT technically could be fitted with a TVC engines but its so expensive it just isn’t worth doing when most EFT nations are working on 6th gens (at least the 3 nations in game are anyway)
I’d love for it to happen but it’s like typhoon AMK kit, there doesn’t seem to really be demand for it
at some point they can put it onto F-15EX, F-16C.
fuel consumption would be quite the concern on the F-16, wouldnt it?
But why though? I mean I think they are too far deep into F-35 to switch back to F-16 enough to warrant 132’s
And EX is perfectly capable without them, it would be better yes, but is it worth the cost?
good question. then also slap CFTs. would be quite close to Block 60
