Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

So no Swedish personnel actually drove/flew them during testing? And were they company vehicles or shown off by Russian/US govt.

Also, so far it seems that it is pretty limited to Sweden for some reason if they didn’t actually test them at all.

The new jet for Japan is just gonna be the return of the R2Y2. They wont even have to spend the resources to reskin an existing vehicle when they can just re-enable it. Finally Gaijin will be able to hit lows they’ve only dreamed of hitting.

Lol, or worse a C&P Sabre kekw

Seriously, Quartas121, with all due respect — but why do you constantly talk down on what Japan or any other nation can’t or shouldn’t have, when you literally only ever play America ? It’s getting ridiculous. You’re acting like the gatekeeper for every other nation while never stepping outside your own comfort zone. Maybe try actually playing something other than the U.S. before making sweeping claims about what other nations are allowed to do.

Oh so they did train crew on it, nice

I don’t ask for Gripen or Tornado in USA, so why do Japan players ask for F-14 in Japan, and Brit players ask for hornets in the UK?

But you ask for 15 other F-15’s because US = large, while other nations have no hope to catch up under your rules

And F-15 = US plane?

At least the Japanese ones are made there with some actual differences, and the Israeli ones are domestically modified. Everyone else has American designed ones and most were tested or even operated by USAF/Boeing

Because those nations don’t have an equivalent — they’re falling behind in capabilities. Ideally, they’d get domestic or unique additions, but if there’s truly no other option, then borrowing something like the F-14 or Hornet becomes a necessary stopgap. Meanwhile, the U.S. has plenty of top-tier options already. You’re not exactly hurting for choices.

Doesn’t need 15 more though

Imho Nations like the US should haul for awhile to let other nations catch up, the US is fine for not getting an aircraft for a couple of updates since they added three Hornets already.

There is already stuff at F-14 BR area and F-18 BR area.

BR’s aren’t everything of that was so then Germany wouldn’t have had the Swiss Hunter, the only reason they got that was because of it’s guided tech.

If you compare # of potential top tier (13.0+) vs # added per update you will see US is probably getting the same portion or even less than everyone else. The only one that really has a huge amount left also is China

Is the F-14 or hornet even a real upgrade over the F-15’s in tech? They have F-2 early and late as well

Yeah, barely . Japan, China, Sweden, Germany and the UK are clinging to stopgaps while the U.S. has full lineups at those BRs with multiple competitive options. Having one or two aircraft at that BR doesn’t magically solve the performance gap or lineup limitations those nations are dealing with. Not every country is swimming in top-tier multiroles like the U.S., so yeah — they’re going to ask for what helps them stay viable.

China is, they should have way more 4 gen.

Since they have so many flanker variants, and Russia has quite a few left too, and US has so many F-15’s, they should add at least one flanker-eagle pair each update until they are done

Or maybe they shouldn’t do that and let other nations catch up since America isn’t the only nation in the game (shocker ik)
