I always exceed my allocated budget during sales events, as the thought of discounts makes it more tempting to take advantage of every opportunity to save =)

That’s just it isn’t, With GB having a huge sale of 80% off I can finally get all of their WW1 stuff in one swoop. While in normal prices is just one of that module so for me that a huge deal, especially now if war thunder isn’t gonna grow into the WW1 market due to Aces of Thunder supporting flat screen now.
It’s just frustrating how everything we moan here about Aces of Thunder, their dev’s seem to oddly listen and changes their plans to make it more accessible to players.
Like we had a whole stink here about not being able to keep the WW1 aircraft because the cost of VR these days’. And what do you know a few weeks later they announced they will be supporting flat screen.

Oh wait IL-2 DLC on sale? Been wanting to get the rest of the WW1 aircraft for ages now. Good timing too seeing the current state Aces of Thunder is currently in, especially the “WW1 key feature”.
Take note Gaijin, IL-2 is how you add WW1 to the game, not just 4 aircraft out of all of the choices, no skin customisation and limit it to a VR only (now flatscreen too but with Sim controls only but I wouldn’t mind betting this will change too). Or as 1 bomber and a few tanks as rewards for a limited time event but as an actual part of the game.

I wonder what’s next they gonna change I mean they have a pack aircraft now, who to say they won’t add a tech tree especially since WW1 is their main selling point now.
I was fine if Aces of thunder kept it a WW2 VR sim but now every other month closer to release it just seems it wants to copy what war thunder is.

Yeah it’s now just War Thunder but you pay for the game and pay for more aircraft, with just a sprinkling of cockpit improvements and some VR controls. Even the VR options have been cut drastically, they said that we would be able to sit in the gunners seat of some aircraft and have a friend pilot it but suddenly there’s radio silence on that part. Seems to me they would be better off just using the time and resources to improve War Thunder instead.
But the WW1 is cool although very lacking. Hopefully by the time it releases there will be some more options but right now for a “key feature” it seems very disappointing.

I have the feeling our H.P.12 would be added either at release or later with a few more, but yeah now it’s just War thunder sim but without the grind, I hope that pack aircraft is just a promotional thing like what WTM has done. But yeah it’s frustrating how close AoT is to war thunder now

Considering Smin’s statement, I think it’s the week of the 19-23 for first blog, used to think next week.
One thing I’m curious about now, if we get surface launched next-gen IR missiles, is whether we can get AIM-9Xs on the AH-1Z. For a while the AH-1Z had AIM-9Ls before we got those missiles on jets, so I think it would be cool if we got 9Xs on that before we get them on planes.
