Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

This is the “simulate vehicle” I said, actually still a SEPV2, but modified to simulate SEPV3, the plates are steel bob-weight to simulate new armor pack

What do V3s look like then?

Like this? I don’t see any additional armour though. Also what’s the weight?

the armor is thicker, I remember someone measured it by tape measure, and the structure of the NERA in LPF could be changed to contain more KE plate

Actually yeah, it does look slightly more tilted than earlier variants and a little thicker.

They should come regardless, not replacing the only AGM/TGP combo they given israel to date.

If they came out and said they are willing to add popeyes or a nerfed Delilah/rampage then the mavericks can go, but no one wants to sacrifice standoff AGMs for standoff SPICE if we can just keep both

Man when are next br changes
I need AIM-9M on the F14B

fr.

I’m sick of every nation getting vehicles they should not get just for the sake of those vehicles being present in every damn tree. If this vehicle historically served with this country’s military and was also modified somehow I get it, but crap like the Dutch Leopard 2s in the French tank tree is super annoying.

Subtrees should have a different progression system, they should be somehow seperate from the main tree itself.

If it does not come with its datalink feature, Delilah would just function like a smaller AGM-65 with bigger lock range (16km on moving targets iirc) and attacking targets at a high angle like how the French AASMs and other winged bombs present ingame behave. The Delilah’s 250km range can only be used with its datalink feature. Also, you can only take a maximum of 2 of these.

RAMPAGE would be decent to see. Not as useful as CAS but would be fun in air RB and EC.

And for the US its gonna be 2 Shermans and the Skink, all in special camo nets. Because if there is one thing the US needs more than anything its more Shermans

or 2 Pershings and an M42

Once again this is why this is absolutely needed.

Basically make sub-trees “mini nations” under a full nation they are closest related too with a separate TT.

currently, all IR seekers are almost same on moving targets, it’s a limit/balance

We need this ASAP

It would solve loads of problems with the current sub-trees.

Air has room to go where ground is pretty much caught up. Regardless, we will 100% get top tier aircraft next update. Could be F-2, could be F-18s, etc etc

ground has reached the current day already

air is still 20 years behind, however air is already 2 full BRs above ground in capabilities

Turns out tanks don’t stand much of a chance against guided missiles from 15km out and 5km up, the thing ground can do to catch up is add better AA systems

there is a problem with that

around 30 years ago the Idea of increasing the range of a Portable AA system to keep up with the troops was finally dropped

modern SPAAs are only for short range air defence

the systems that exist with the range to defend against the type of weapon commonly used in Ground RB are quickly movable but stil stationary Emplacements like Patriot or S-300

there is no justifiable way to introduce an S-300 or Patriot system as a Vehicle into Warthunder

I propose instead of crying over SPAAs not being good enough (it cannot be changed) instead ground players should have an easier time spawning interceptor/Fighter type aircraft with a pure anti air loadout instead

because no SPAA can match the air defence capabilities of a Eurofighter

It’s a pain for both sides tbh, I know that there are many ground players already fed up with how dominant aircraft are, but equally as an air player I want to be able to do more than just air superiority, I want strike missions in RB so that I can use the cool A2G weaponry available to me, and I want better A2G weapons to use in that regard

I mean, they could just limit CAS range and capabilities to a reasonable level instead of letting planes dominate in Ground Battles.

But as far as we know Gaijin is looking into SPAAs and SAMs with longer ranges and capabilities to match the CAS we currently have.
