10% of the playerbase is legit bots, other 55-60% is people who have 0 idea of what they are doing and the rest 15-20% might be decent and the other however much actually know how to play, but the game is in a state of death because those 60% people are gimping the other ones and the bots dont help either

So long as those 60% are enjoying it, it doesn’t matter how good they are, you know 50% of player will always be below average right?

didnt they ban 20k bots at once couple months ago? those bots have been playing constantly 24/7 gimping our matches for a reason or another
the economy is trash, the gameplay in itself is trash, the maps are trash, the teams are trash and the engine is way too simple for 2025 with very bad performance compared to the graphics, the monetization is so crazy that it constantly kills the game and etc
What hurts me the most is to know that, if it ever even comes, it will likely be a worse/lower BR variant…
BMD-4M should have come with APFSDS as a regular tree vehicle.
There are definitely botting issues, but if I’m being honest it used to be worse, and it’s rarely enough to ruin a match.
and I remember when I was back at rank 3-4 in my Bf-109, I wasn’t very good, but I still enjoyed the game, my interests eventually shifted to other things until Apex Predators came out, at which point I bought the F-104S TAF and sucked at top tier for a while, but I eventually got pretty good and I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed the game ever since, for the most part.
That is my experience with war thunder, it’s obviously not universal but I know if I didn’t enjoy the game, I’d just go play something else, what makes you think others aren’t capable of the same agency?

except 70% of players in a match dont even do anything and yes it happens that sometimes I get stupidly killed too, but thats because some maps literally allow players to kill themselves spawn to spawn
they dont even recognize that the maps are total garbage
most maps are either drive simulator or literally meter to meter killing
wanna know why people dont want to cap the point when theres clearly no one there? they are too scared to try and cap only to get killed and lose however much SL
Today I literally watched people not even wanting to attack because they would lose SL most likely, so people ofc don’t even wanna risk it while they are having at best 10k SL balance
In a match theres at least a 30-40% tax on SL if you get killed but still do 2-4 kills, so its very annoying to see your actual earnings get cut and the people that struggle at low tier will probably never achieve a positive balance at any higher tier while the game doesn’t even encourage actually learning what to do and etc, they just encourage you to go and fight close quarters and let ur performance based on luck or angle camping through cities
The BMD-2M seems to be the best BMD down the list. It has an 2A42 and two kornet tubes, with I think another two missiles in the backup. Would be 10.0 ish, similar to the BMP-2M but only has half the kornet count. Faster, and armor wise like, none of them has any.

Yep. It’s actually really impressive that a multiplayer vehicle sim game has managed to not only stay active for over a decade, but also expand significantly too (vehicle types, eras/tech, etc).
No game is perfect of course, but it’s always funny to see people yelling about the game being “dead”, and/or that it needs “massive major overhauls” to not die… despite it being how it is (in a core sense) very much being why such a niche genre game has continued to do this well.
