There might have been something about USN/USMC hornets used BOL pods I read a little while ago but can’t remember it
It is unfortunate unless it is exactly like the F-15E/I dealio. The F-15E got the better engines during its service life. I imagine enough bug reports would have eventually brought them to the airframe regardless of the F-15I. In this case with the F/A-18, did the US variant also receive better engines at some point that a slew of bug reports could pressure Gaijin into adding or are we really wanting a repeat of the F-15E?
Could we not just add the better spec’ed variant to the US first, then in an update, bring in the Finnish model?
Finland also has the HARM as well as JDAMs and GBU-39s and 53s though no laser guided bombs I believe
It was that they tested it on one vehicle, again its likely gaijin will add it to the US F18, the bigger question is how many CM’s the US had vs the Fin, not that it matters
When did Finland buy HARM?
Most likely APG-73 on the Finnish one, 79v4 is exclusively on USMC and Malaysian hornets
Assuming their entry into nato they have green lights for A2G weapons
53 only on F-35’s
Hello
Air was recently expanded with the EFT to 14.0. We would also generally not jump up a whole 1.0 in BR as expansion typically tend to go 0.3/5 up at a time.
APG-73 with BOL 500 pod
I thought so, I know the USMC are the only ones that use the 79, at least on the Legacy Hornet IDK about exported Supers
Did they sell them and arrive? It says possible sale
Yeah, just listing all of their A2G weapons, The Finnish Hornet should still be able to use JDAM, SBD, and HARM though
Not entirely, we don’t know the extent that Finland added for its CAS. It may not be able to fire some munitions.
I think Australian supers use the 79 for sure, don’t know about others
I don’t believe they ever confirm sales, it’s always “proposed”, but it’s safe to assume the order was accepted and has or will be fulfilled
I understand but increasing it by 0.3 still leaves a lot of compression especially for planes that are 13.0 since they either have fox 3 like the F14B, fox 1 and fox 2 like the mirage 4000 or only fox 2 like the Netz
It makes it hard for people that want to play those brs and really unenjoyable
Am sure some people that mostly play air would prefer a whole br extension instead of a 0.3/5 br
Its not got TVC but has a wider aspect seeker, improved IRCCM and a stronger motor giving an increase in range.
Could have different computers and stuff than a GBU-53 carrying US hornet (aka a very modern hornet, 2020+, 2023/4 if 79v4)
