Well the current BP is actually the first time I bothered to pay for it, so I haven’t had a chance to try my luck at a naval crate yet, I certainly wouldn’t mind.
Depends if the US uses the same radar as the MLU 2 again slight difference in weight. I know it was also mentioned that the US f18 either does or doesn’t use BOL, which the MLU 2 does. Though the US could just say they should get what the Finnish have considering thats how gaijin works with matching airframes.

Would an aircraft like say, the YF-23 fall into this prototype category with Yak-141 and Mirage 4k?

TBH with BOL as bad as it is, it barely constitutes a buff for Finland, but TBH there isn’t really an issue in giving the US F/A-18 access to BOL, given that it is compatible and in use on other US jets.
I don’t know about the radars unfortunately, but it wouldn’t be too much of an issue to give them different radars and slightly different weights, I kinda want to see the AN/APG-79 on the US one personally, but APG-73 would be fine, do you know which one is in MLU 2 btw?

Eh it would be the only advantage the Finnish f18 would get, outside of that its just a worse f18. Again we’ll need to see how gaijin adds it. Additionally i fully expect the Finnish f18 to get none of their camos and for the US to get like 5-6. Big sad
Guess we need to see if the Snail would give Finland HARM considering the US can use them
I mean going off the examples he gave i think the YF-23 would fall into it, but confirmed would be nice

Probably not, because the programme that the YF-23 was developed for eventually resulted in the F-22.
The Yak-141 and Mirage 4000 on the other hand were their own projects that got cancelled without replacement.

I have a question that a decent amount of people are probably asking themselves.
Is there a plan to decompress top tier air and add 15.0 brs for air ?
Am asking this because I realize that people that want to grind with 12.7 planes will most likely get up tiers and face planes with fox 3s.
For exemple the F16 A(all variants) and the Netz will see the F16 C in the majority of it’s matches because 12.7 plane gets pared up with 13.7 planes despite some variants of the F16 s only having fox 2 or fox 2 and fox 1
It’s also going to see the F15 C which is even stronger than the F16 C
It’s not fun for people that are grinding to get top tier
I would suggest to bring all the jets like the F16 C that have access to fox 3 and bring them up to 14.3 and all the new jets like the EF, Rafale and F15E up to 15.0 in order to unclog 13.0 and 12.7.
And the F14s should stay at 13.0 or get a increase their best a little just to make sure its not too strong in a down tier.
This you make 12.0 and 13.0 brackets more enjoyable and playable
I am open to any suggestions concerning this subject since I didn’t cover everything concerning specific jets like the MiG 29, su 27 and F15A

Gaijin wouldve changed their standard by then.
There might have been something about USN/USMC hornets used BOL pods I read a little while ago but can’t remember it

It is unfortunate unless it is exactly like the F-15E/I dealio. The F-15E got the better engines during its service life. I imagine enough bug reports would have eventually brought them to the airframe regardless of the F-15I. In this case with the F/A-18, did the US variant also receive better engines at some point that a slew of bug reports could pressure Gaijin into adding or are we really wanting a repeat of the F-15E?
Could we not just add the better spec’ed variant to the US first, then in an update, bring in the Finnish model?
Finland also has the HARM as well as JDAMs and GBU-39s and 53s though no laser guided bombs I believe
It was that they tested it on one vehicle, again its likely gaijin will add it to the US F18, the bigger question is how many CM’s the US had vs the Fin, not that it matters
When did Finland buy HARM?
Most likely APG-73 on the Finnish one, 79v4 is exclusively on USMC and Malaysian hornets
Assuming their entry into nato they have green lights for A2G weapons
