USAF is a different beast, and tech demonstrator could be EAP type stuff

That’s right, guess we’ll have to see what they reveal then

J-10A was leaked prior to update as usual though

also 6th gen mightve been a prototype/test B-21 possibly?

For over a year now, we’ve had pretty consistent leaks for updates well in advance, also.

Technically a 6th Gen test bed flew in 2016 for Japan, it’s just like with all 6th Gen a very long ways off actually coming to fruition

Su-30SM isn’t going to China unless it’s as the Su-30MKM (which people who don’t want anything ASEAN to go to China will be really butt-hurt about), so maybe Su-30MK2? I don’t know Chinese flankers well enough to know if it can work with the PL-12’s though. It seems the PL-12 is a J-10, J-11B, JF-17 (and beyond) missile.

J-11B, F-2, and Su-30SM should come in their own patch together. Su-30MKK and Su-30M/M2 would be better paired separately, as neither have canards or TVC, nor radar beyond the N001VEP.

No imported Flankers can use the PL-12, only indigenous ones from the J-11B onward.

I’m using MKK and MK2 interchangeably as I don’t know the difference between the two or how advanced the MK2 is, but it would make sense for the Chinese SU-30 to come at the same time as the Russian one, though like I said I would hope it’s part of the attacker line for China, so I’m hoping for J-11B in March and then a SU-30MKK/MK2 with the SU-30SM and F/A-18C in June for a navy fighter focused patch.

Just to clarify I’m not expecting the Chinese SU-30 to be a true top tier 14.0/14.3 aircraft necessarily, I just think it makes sense to come in the same patch to bolster China’s CAS

Sorry, su-30MKK, not SM

Absolutely acknowledging the butt hurt,
do you know, that Bangladesh is IRL lobbying for Rafale acquisition? If the nation gets it, then China is cleared to get it as well, in WT terms? … now tell me … do you think China needs ASEAN or can be satisfied with its current pseudo/official-subtrees?
It’s enough, I’d say.

I don’t think the USA/Russia/China, in principle, needs backup, especially in aviation. At most, tank cars, some kind of Korea, and I think it would be better to create a branch of the two Koreas. The branch would be super cool and interesting.

Personally, I think China should get Pakistan as a subtree but nothing more than that, the odd Bangladeshi premium/event vehicle would be fine but nothing excessive like a Rafale

Yes, Pakistan would be good idea.

So Su-30M/M2 and Su-30MKK/MK2 should come out in the same patch. MK2 might have better radar, some sort of Zhuk derivative (Sokol), don’t know anything about it.

Su-30SM is multirole as well, but it would add more air to air capabilities for the USSR/Ru line. J-11B would be the plane to fill in here for a Chinese Flanker imo. So Su-30SM and J-11B should come in the same patch as well as the F-2. If you want a Naval Chinese Flanker that would come before the J-15, maybe the J-11BH or BSH? I don’t know how popular these variants are in China, but the USSR/Ru just got the Su-33, of which there’s roughly only 50 airframes, so I say why the heck not. Otherwise just send-it on the J-15.

imo China doesn’t need ASEAN at all, as they have other stuff they could get, like Pakistan, DPRK, etc.

in subtree, you need to know reasonableness. To add only in cases where there is no way to add anything else, or when there is no way to add something that can close the need for something (Thailand CAS for Japan). No more than that. The self-sufficiency of most countries is more than enough

and that’s it … its enough
Pak + BD + Myanmar + SL ~ what more can you ask?
Maybe the few African Nations sprinkled in, which has acquired Chinese stuffs.
ASEAN is then Jp worthy.

And I think it’s high time to eradicate the practice of soup from countries where the United States, Russia, Germany and China are playing for the same side, both in aviation and in ground technology. You lose all sense of such games when you play against your own plane.

Or, however about none, since China doesn’t need any.
