I want the J-11 and J-11A to get PL-8’s if for no other reason than it can and they look cool, and I’d like to see them with HMD on a Flanker, especially if they ever fix the damn flight model.

Sweden like all nations has faced bad moments. But its easily had the least amount of them
I 1000% understand the frustration. The 2S38 is not the world beater that it is made out to be, but sitting at 10.0 for that long was criminal.
I’ll also repeat myself from last thread, the shift of most premiums out of 10.0 is secretly one of the best things Gaijin has done all year.

Yes, it seemed like they wanted to add the PL-8B to the J-10A but changed their mind last minute as the PL-8 is after the PL-5 in the modifications despite being worse, also wasn’t the J-10B effectively rebuilt from the ground up instead of just an upgraded 10A?
I must’ve been dropped on my head as a child. I actually prefer the intake on the J-10A, lmao.

It was absolutely horrendous having to fight F-16s in the JA37D for a year, and tbf the 122 even was stuck with only DM33 as its best shell for quite a while which people seem to conviently forget.
Nobody forgot that… but everyone who played Sweden back then (when you could afford the obnoxious repair cost) acknowledged that in spite of that round the 122 was the competitively strongest MBT.
The new shell was just icing on a cake.

Call me crazy, but I think the PL-8B and the R-73 (being fixed) or the R-73M are necessary additions at this point, much like the need for something with more wallop than the R-60M was of yesteryear, and they won’t be added until the devs feel safe adding them because they saw just how toxic the backlash was to adding the R-73 on it’s own to the SMT was, and all the fallout that came with it.
Because sweden was absurdly expensive to play
I prefer the DSI intake because the original J-10A intake looks completely out of place.

Sure but their argument then is a weak one. You can’t add DU inserts into tank despite at least one tank getting it but you can add a top tier aircraft that never had an RWR, weapons, radar, and countermeasures (at least not all at the same time). The Yak-141 was given all that because hey, it was built to have them despitr never getting them. We know the Abrams had DU inserts, we know they went into at least five tanks, but for some reason we can increase the weight by 5 or tons but not give it the armor inserts.

It certainly wouldn’t hurt at this point, the 8B wouldn’t be that strong and whilst I’ve only used it on the Bison, the 73 always seemed less effective than something like a Magic 2 despite having the same style IRCCM.
The 8B isnt NEEDED but its coming because the J11B just cant use the 5EII
