Unless they magically decide to give Abrams its DU lower plate insert and add the Turret Ring armor it won’t fix any thing but add APS ( which the Sep v2 should have)

Yeah true the 2A7s and 122s will still remain better, but at least it’ll be a smaller gap than between the SEPv1 and 2A7/122
No see, it can be killable. But that’s what the C-RAM is for. The Patriot is for the air defense. No more Kh-38s. The C-RAM is there for protection :D
9L is already pretty good, and the R-73 is basically as flare resistant as the 9L unless in absolutely optimal conditions which are not easy to achieve.
9M is the unparalleled GOATed IR missile for IRCCM, along with it’s range and smokeless motor, its an absolute pain to fight against. R-73 is very manageable to deal with in comparison. Couple this with the fact that Russian planes then, and in the current patch have less countermeasures than US/Western planes, it’s really clear that the R-73 needs to either be buffed, or the R-73M needs to come without adding the AIM-9X early.

Asymmetry is good, but it’s not true asymmetry when one party holds a large part of the cards while everyone else fights for scraps.

However it still remains a question if Gaijin would actually give it that new armor package in game.

and these cards have been held by these groups for such a long time that it’s gotten exhausting.

So far in the 4 battles I played in the Pantsir (all wins btw) it was incredibly easy either killing everything that spawned or just keep it away so that my cas could do their thing.
Yes, it should. The thing is though that gajin will come up with the “we believe…” or “we don’t think…” stuff again, eventhough we are absolutely sure that the armor WAS upgraded both in the turret and hull.

While that is indeed true, the instructor mode has been handcuffing the Su-27 since inception. It’s hard to make those big gambling high-AOA single pulls as intended.
The R-73 is a nightmare within a certain range. I cant remember the CC but they often do a lot of breakdowns and comparasions and the 9M vs R-73 is the type of lock it requires to be lethal. The 9M takes the advantage at range but on an unsuspecting pilot, which is common for air battles given the furballs, the R-73 becomes unflarable at close distance. There is no way you are going to thr R-73M added without pushback for the 9X early. No way.
