Imo theres a lot of SPAA that gaijin adds that just dont work as spaa, and perform better as TD’s (ahem sweden from 1.7-11.7) literally if we had actual vehicles that focused on spaa more than TD it would be a much appreciated addition imo to all nations.

though there should never be a GRB where SPAA is better than aircraft since it just costs too much to spawn a plane vs SPAA for SPAA to be better
True, maps are also a huge factor, play some tall spaa and die from a cross map shot, ahem like 3 maps come to mind. Honestly if maps had a bit more thought put into them to give spaa a bit more cover at the start it may also help. I know my friend doesn’t even use his radar on his Ito since hes tool tall and has been killed at the start, though now he just uses a mirage to deal with sky rats.
Speaking of spaa/TD’s its the same reason britain cant get a 7.x spaa, they keep using them as TD’s or which is why stuff like the falcon keep going up. Its a psuedo IFV.

Serious note that defense game mode they tested was very fun on port novo, id love to see more stuff like that. Though i am guilty of abusing the 5.7 max tanks and playing my KV-220 with my ersatz friends and just clubbing.
I need more gamemodes, maybe stuff like missions could be fun, i still go back and play the mission in warthunder on since its pretty fun sometimes.

Dont worry Encountering an SKR-7 scares me in a Heavy Cruiser (granted HMS London who has less armour than some light cruisers but still)
I just honestly run away when i see them, i have little idea what im doing 90% of the time. Im a casual and i just try to do silly stuff for boats when i play.
Yeah, naval can be good like that. I managed to sail a Hood through the enemy teams spawn the other day. Must have confused the hell out of the enemy teams BBs. I had a small flotila of bot ships chasing me :D

I live for the silly warthunder moments at low BR and love the serious action movie esq moments of the higher tiers. Honestly if this game and some of the things that happen in it didnt make my blood boil id Honestly want to do more stuff with the naval trees. Unfortunately i think ill probably just stay casual for the time until we get some more reworks. Honestly i cant use the “new” aiming system i kinda prefer the old one. Literally a skill issue on my end.
