I unironically stopped using SPAA at top tier.
With all the CAS that can out range it I’d rather just do everything in my power to get a jet

Erm, technically the only possible Magach SPAA is the Magach Marksman and that would likely sit at 8.7 so not top tier (unless you’re based and want to use the Pereh as a SPAA when that comes.)
It will be a normal Magach but the commander can open the hatch and fire his pistol at air targets. First 12.3 ground vehicle btw.

Yeah, I should just remove the ADATS from my line-up. Spawned in, and before they were even in range of my radar (let alone missiles) I was fired at by a Kh-38. Tried locking onto it to shoot it out of sky, nope. Dont have smokes unlcoked yet so couldnt pop those (not that smoke works vs KH-38s) and nor could I move behind any cover, because there wasnt any.

Dont worry Morvran, just remember gaijin doesn’t want weapons that “…require no challenge to use effectively and have no counterplay options for those being attacked. The attacker can operate outside of the range of any anti-air system in the game…”

yeah, the only thing that keeps me away from grind the air trees it’s the fact that I’m not good with planes (and the insane grind too) but I have to try it and learn I guess
because I think it will take a while until we see something capable of countering CAS at least in tech trees like Israel (if we ever get it)

Spaa moment, honestly all spaa are inferior to CAS as it stands. Pantsir can sorta do it but again there is no balance yet people keep asking for more and more CAS loadouts…
I haven’t used the Ito, Flarakrad, Adats or the Type 81 in a while because they are all inferior to just pulling a jet.
yeah the real joke regarding SPAA is seeing people ask for Pantsir equivalents, when the punchline is that even the pantsir sucks. It just sucks the least.
TLDR - We need way better than the pantsir for ground players, but that’s just not gonna happen.

Thats the problem is people are begging for even anything close to pantsir, its a problem that spaa in general are just not useful in ground rb for the most part.

I can’t fathom why people actually want CAS to be better when it’s already hilariously OP for 90% of the game.
It’s at all tiers, SPAA is easily countered at any BR besides 7.7-9.7ish.

Id say yes but thats just always going to be the case at lower BR’s. At 1.0 i can just fly low and quickly hit targets or be a high flyer dropping bombs, nothing we can really do about that. Same for 10.0+ i can just fly to max distance and fight but the majority aren’t they immediately just start looking for targets as soon as they spawn in. Its the ones with a will to survive that are scary. Literal sky rats
I will say this. SPAA being at the disadvantage is not my issue. In fact SPAA SHOULD have the disadvantage as the cost for a CAS plane is almost 5-8x that of an SPAA on average.
But SPAA shouldn’t be helpless. THATS THE ISSUE

i think they should increase reward for aircraft shootdown, implement a reward for shooting down enemy munitions, add more platforms capable of doing that, and now SPAA have something to use all that ammo box stuff for and get more rewards, but wont be a hard counter to CAS so theres still a place for it.

Id like for gaijin to realistically give all nations rn a 6.x spaa, imo germany and russia are the only ones not needing of spaa in the bracket. And since almost all nations have a 6.x lineup i feel it would be a nice start if gaijin started adding just more spaa in general.
Side note a lot of people skip spaa for 2 reasons, they cant play spaa and dont want to grind it, or the minimal rewards turn players away from playing a vital role in the game mode.
