Well 9M was around before aam-3 even started development so it isn’t a very fair comparison. AAM-4 is better than AIM-120A irl but it’s also the contemporary of the 120C so the same applies
I would play a mode that was just ground realistic in first person.

From what I saw it’ll be pretty mid. Slow on the deck, meh twr, loses a lot of speed when turning.
I believe Gripen Cs still in service do as well
It’s a pure multirole, it was made to replace A-4, F-4, and other naval strike aircraft while leaving air defence to tomcats, so naturally won’t do as well vs more dedicated fighters

We need cheaper CAP spawns allowing these aircraft to challenge helicopters and long range strike jets.
on the flip side need to increase SP for fully loaded helicopters and jets.

True, but with everything else being pretty meh-bad about it’s flight model I think it’ll be pretty meh compared to stuff like the F-15s and it’ll get destroyed by the Typhoons/rafale.
From a very quick and dirty google, they have the necessary upgrades to use them, but have yet to purchase them

We will eventually, hell the Gripen C already doesnt have the right Radar and afaik there are Gripen Cs with the AESA
