I think you completely misunderstood me. What I tried to say is that GRB should not be made unplayable for the pilots, because there is nowhere for them to go to have fun, other than SB and not everyone has the patience for SB. Therefore GRB is the only game mode (with instructor) for pilots to have fun in.
I don´t want GRB to become more CAS heavy. All I want is for Gaijin to fix ARB mode, or better yet, add ARBEC. This would singlehandedly fix CAS spam in GRB and I would wager 10k GE on that! Adding ARBEC or making ARB fun again would come with a caveat though, as +70% of current GRB players would migrate back to playing ARBEC.
Gszabi already made the point that Gaijin needs to get the patch done by the 20th at the latest, roughly speaking, so they need to get all the devblogs out by then. This means time is of the essence, so I’d expect an accelerated schedule.
And where should Ground players go and have fun, if GRB is to be a playground for Pilots to have fun by stomping on targets who just happen to be player-controlled?
Of course, I hope that too; but, until then, turning GRB into a playground for pilots to play ARB by ruining the experience of those trying to actually play ground vehicles isn’t a solution.
I’m not asking to make GRB unplayable for CAS; but ground players should have access to reliable and consistent counters to CAS, unlike now… because, otherwise, what you have is a ground mode that is unplayable for ground vehicles.
I must also point out- I only have issues with CAS at Top Tier, where they have extremely long range munitions and their capabilities long surpass those of the SPAAs that are suppossed to counter them. In lower tiers, I don’t think CAS is a problem beyond a reasonable nuisance.
True and I don’t expect this late XF-2A anytime soon. However, last year they added the F-15J right in time for Air Superiority so sometimes it’s just them making sure they passed an open suggestion to the devs before it gets added/implemented.
We already have the F-2s passed so fingers crossed…
It’s more likely to be PESA, but who knows what Gaijin will do.
I also wonder if Gaijin might eventually add the J-10B with thrust-vectoring (although if I remember correctly it couldn’t carry weapons so that might disqualify it.)
Not necessarily, cause it didn’t have any pylons but we can’t be sure that it didn’t have fire control at all, plus, we do have Yak141 which never carried a radar anyways.
