Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

what im excited abt as well as an israel main is the namer ifv, the first ifv to come with an aps which should be fun, and the turret is no longer an easy ammo rack

The VBCI Mk.2 and BMD-4M look exciting.

The Namer will just be gimped into uselessness like the previous Namer. The trophy system will hardly make a difference, so it’ll likely be placed at a higher BR without offering any improved capabilities over the previous one.

Hell with the spike launchers locked into a slightly upwards firing angle will probably make it worse in CQB.

Yeah, my post was talking about service vehicles though which is most likely what they are going to add first

it looks exciting still, aps can be usefull, its saved me a lot in the mk4m, also i believe it will be like a vilkas with crazy gun depression and with aps. The namer rcws30 gun depression makes it amasing for hill peaks, and if the namer ifv keeps that same gun depression with the spike launcher facing up, then i believe it could be pretty good

That’s what I said lol, maybe I should’ve worded it better but my idea was to add a new f-15e and c with all their irl stuff and then add an older c/e, I think gulf war for the E and post gulf war for the C (so it can keep the 63v1)

If at least Spikes actually worked as they should instead of being, in the words of Gaijin, an “unreliable tool that may ocassionally give you an unexpected kill”… these vehicles would be much more interesting.

The penetration was recently improved; but their targetting is still ass. The flight path is still gimped and they still target tracks and commander hatches most of the times.

The previous namer was already extremely resistant against all but 1-2 top tier ATGMs, the only difference it would have is now it will be resistant to all ATGMs. While still being laughably weak against all KE threats.

Vilkas is a wrong comparison imo, because the Vilkas is a wheeled vehicle with actually good mobility. The Namer is as heavy as the Mk.4M merkava while having 300 less HP in the engine, it’s not very mobile.

It’ll just mean that you have a deadzone of ~300m around you where your spikes won’t hit if you are hull down.

lol but the way the namer ifv looks, it resembles a vilkas, the previous namer wasn’t very good against heli launched atgms and all an atgm needs to do is be top attack and the namer is done, but the aps will help with that issue. Another problem is that the namer shouldnt be bad against ke threats(unless aimed at turret), as its got the merkava hull , but gajin laughs at merkavas. The namer should be pretty as the mk4m can reach 64kmh which is pretty fast but not too fast.

F-4E somehow has access to the AGM-62.

F-16C-50 has the AIM-7.

Trophy is easily overwhelmed though. Sure it’ll help against some of the not as smart helis, but if they want you dead they’ll easily do it regardless if you have APS or not.

True, which is why I just can’t be excited for it. It’s a really cool vehicle irl which I want to be excited about, but seeing how gimped it will be and at which BR it’ll likely end up on it’s just borderline doa for me.

Top speed is okay yes, but you won’t reach it that often with the HP/T the Namer will have.

Got to remember with the merkava though there is chance gaijin finally correct its weight and up the 4M to 80t

Imagine if they up the weight to 80t and just not improve the armor in any way.

That would be so sad it would honestly be kind of hilarious.

Devblog :P

I can’t see anything.

@Smin1080p_WT why is the verba missile locked only to the mi 8 when its literally a copypaste igla with proxy?

I wonder if we get the F/A-18C (or the A-6E SWIP please gaijin I have been waiting for so long) if we can get the AGM-84E SLAM as the American equivalent to the other long range AtS missiles like the PGM and Kh-38

Doubt it

it’s not a devblog

I mean it can access GBU-8 and AGM-65 so using AGM-62 is not a problem since all these weapons operate on the same infrastructure. Besides previous USAF Phantom models already used them in service afaik. F-4D with AGM-62 for example:

F-16C Blk 50 can mount and use AIM-7F and later Sparrow versions. Its a known fact. Just because USAF operated AIM-120 at the time doesnt mean its fictional.

It is not a devblog, just a regular video about it (Previously there were similar videos about vehicles, but they were included with other topics in the same videos. But now they are separated and released as standalone videos)
This one is a devblog Mirage 2000D RMV: Sword of Damocles
