Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Sure, as soon as you can actually proof that it has that reverse speed.

Exactly. It feels like Gaijin thinks US should have good air only and USSR/GER/SWE should have good ground only. Love this balance.

also there’s leo 2 A-RC 3.0, leo 2a6ex, 2a6a3 and 2a7a1 for non uparmored leo, and if you want to include older prototype that have similar or close enough performance to current top tier mbt there’s leo 2 ivt/kvt(basically a strv 122 proto wit b-tech insert) and leo 2 tvm max (basically a strv 122 prototype with c-tech insert)

@Smin1080p_WT Is there any news on the Mirage 2000-5F receiving the TopOwl HMD that is currently on the Tiger HAD? It is really annoying in sim to be relying on the basic HMD sight which provides no information on the screen

Also now that they fixed ASMs can they fix TV guided weapons? Why can they miss an SPAA because its radar is tall? That has been whats gotten me killed the most when fighting SPAA I fire an AGM-65 and sometimes it will just go nah

too late you’ve said it

There will always be some.

Mr Hungary is here.

The update has to release sometime during the 16th - 20th week. (In order to release it before western Christmas.) This means the previous week is for the dev server, which in turn means stream and server on the 6th at latest and teaser on the 5th teaser. This in turn means devblogs have to begin on the 2nd - 5th at latest.

In other words, maybe?

That’s pretty much what I expected already.

I mean that is pretty much how I feel. It feels like they spend most of the year just throwing random CAS planes with similar weapons and loadouts (AV-8B+, A-10C, F-111F) at the problem, hoping that surely this next plane will fix top tier US ground winrates.

Guess just fixing the core of the issue is more effective than just throwing CAS planes at the symptoms, but it’s taking them a while to figure this out.

I’ve kind of come to resent the US air tree at this point lol as a mostly ground player.

It’s Russian, so don’t need actual documents. That video is enough.

Thank you very much sir this shall feed my friend group well :p

At least that would expose incredible double standards if they would add the Obr 2023 with better reverse speed only based on that video.

It was exposed long ago. A Russian report about the Leopard 2A4 not generating enough spalling was accepted without any sources, secondary or otherwise.

It has TY-90 IRCCM and the rocket motor is like 15-25% better than the Python 3 according to documentation.

Would be a really powerful missile.

With how hard to flare TY-90s are, if that’s true, the PL-8B may bring a small secondary IR meta for the furballs.

Or instead of gimping these vehicles, how about we give them appropriate weaponry and avionics for their competition (which they all had IRL) and then placing them at a proper BR?

In other words, when equivalent vehicles get added with new stuff (eg. AESA radars, next-gen Fox-2s, new Fox-3s, etc.), upgrade the existing vehicles that received equivalent upgrades in real life.

This way we can have more balance in top tier (again, assuming everyone has competitive airframes, avionics, and weaponry), and Gaijin can introduce earlier variants that do not have such modern weaponry (eg. F-16C Block 30/40).

This allows players to decide whether they want to play top tier or earn and play lower BR planes. Gimping these planes and then adding equipment that should have been added to the existing planes is simply a slap in the face to those who already purchased and ground out those vehicles.

When the time is right (ie. as time progresses and new vehicles/weapons/avionics are added), I hope Gaijin eventually adds the following to the F-15C, F-15E, and F-16C:

  • AIM-120C-5s (assuming everyone else gets equivalents like the MICA-NG, R-77-1, Derby-ER, etc.)
  • AIM-9Xs (assuming everyone else gets equivalents like the ASRAAM, IRIS-T, R-74M, PL-10, Python-4/5, AAM-5, etc.)
  • AESA radars (assuming everyone else gets equivalents)

I will reiterate that the F-15C, F-15E, and F-16C we have in game can all receive the AIM-9X due to the fact that they carry JHMCS. Note that JHMCS was built to accomodate the AIM-9X, not the other way around.

Furthermore, these planes all received AESA radars IRL:

  • F-15Cs started receiving the AN/APG-63(V)2 and AN/APG-63(V)3 around late 2010
  • F-15Es started receiving the AN/APG-82(V)1 in 2010
  • F-16Cs started receiving the AN/APG-83 (SABR) in 2010
