yes but 4 missiles make it significantly worse than pansir and worse than the spyder-aio
i would check the videos regarding the upcoming leaked vehicles for the next update, they talk about it there.
we talk about jets, but many east germany tanks still not in german tech tree, like bmp-2

Yes, it is basically a worse SPYDER AIO, since that has 8 missiles and radar search (also datalink, SPYDER-SR is only fire and forget without support vehicles).
But it still has 4 missiles, which isn’t unseen in game, being equal to the Antelope SAM, and since the reload box doubles missiles on any SAM in game this would still be useful.
As for being better than Pantsir, it depends. SPYDER, in general, has no cannons for ground defense or interception of missiles/bombs. SPYDRER-SR also lacks search radar. But Python 5 would be superior short range missiles to 95Ya6, while Derby should beat it in range.
honestly the best thing to add for spyder-sr would be maybe extra reload box’s which allow it maybe to carry 12 missiles instead of 8 total to level the playing field, as for the spyders, the cool part is they can both carry python 5s and Derby SR. allowing an infrared option and a radar guidance option.

Theoretically they could add a Thai Jeep with a triple rack starstreak lancher which would solve (imo) the issue with helicopters, a better option would be an Indonesian rapid ranger with both starstreak and the proxy fuesed LMM

the best thing for japan would be the Singaporean spyder-sr, honestly for the next update it should be mostly top tier sams. spyder-aio/sr, the crotale, hq-17, iris-t sls, and many others that can be added can level up the playing field for top tier sams. Fixing the pansir problem and the cas problem we have rn

Which leak list says spyder? That seems to be a lot of copium.
Yeah, I almost forgot to account for missile amount. SPYDER-SR would have 4, with a potential 4 from the ammo box, while Pantsir would have 12, with another 12 from the ammo box.
Overall it is just difficult to find an equivalent for the Pantsir for NATO aligned nations, SPYDER is generally the best bet, and only SPYDER AIO has the decent missile count and radar. It’s really only China with proper Pantsir equivalents unless we go further to multi-vehicle systems.
The biggest problem I have with Japanese SPAA right now is an almost complete inability to deal with helicopters on cold maps if there’s even a little bit of cloud cover, a SALCOS/LOBR SAM would solve that.
thats why i suggest add extra ammo boxes for the sr, also the spyder sr will have fire and forget missiles, while pansir still has to guide them to the target

An east german pt-76b should be added aswell because germany lacks a light tank between the puma at 3.7 and m41 at 6.7

The HQ-17 seems odd but that is a list I would trust. The HQ-17A should be pretty good if thats what it turns out to be, otherwise its maybe a vehicle to diversify ARB.
Additionaly the SPW-40 Spandrel. Iconic vehicle featured in many games, which would also have a good time.

I wouldn’t really say solve, but it is an improvement to have the ability to not depend on a lock. RapidRanger with LMM of course would also have the added bonus that Britain could get LMM in the same update as well.
Another option for SACLOS SAM might also be Singaporean V-200 with Bolide missiles like the ASRAD-R, though as with most SAM options for Japan there is no radar. For radar there isn’t really anything past a Singaporean M113A2 UMI.
