More unique jets to be represented in the game that I can fly, to diversify the air space a little.
To be honest, what would F/A-18C even bring to the table that would make anyone play it over F-15E?
I feel like this and some other mrs like these should be implemented (not now but later) Before the all in 90 degree off boresight 50g crazy weapon of which is the aim 9X
Missing what US and RU would get, which also begs the question if JP will get anything as that would then cover all nations.

There are late versions of the AIM-9M (ie. the AIM-9M-8 or AIM-9M-9), which could get better kinematics and better IRCCM if I remember correctly. But there weren’t any sidewinders between the M and X afaik

A lot actually, first off it could be a new proper growler (SEAD) aircraft, two it can carry a lot more suspended armament but loses out on the speed of the F15, third this is more of a sim thing but it is carrier launched which can bring some advantages, and finally the last reason to bring it over the F15 is the stronger radar

If that is a report via official documentation, I’d like a link as well as you stating the date in the same post so I can better think as I go into it.
I’ve never flipped my stances in this subject area, trust me. If you feel I have, I can clarify misstatements and other mistakes in my exposition.
I am chronically consistent, and only voice matters which I feel the information and assessment is accurate enough to warrant such a powerful voice almost akin to if not a conclusion; with that said, I am also extremely prone to mistranslating my thoughts into text. Half my thoughts are a voice, the other imagery, and many times I will mistype my thoughts.
Oh sorry if I gave the impression. I’m just joking around lol. Seen a couple people off the forums already pretty mad and such about it, thought it’d try to make jokes out of it.
It’s an iconic aircraft, it can carry 10 AMRAAMs and probably the most important thing for many people: Top Gun

Nah it’s all good I over reacted. I just don’t understand why the goal can’t be that everyone can get a new top tier aircraft and why some people need (not you) to call me out for wanting one of my favorite jets

Yes it would, I want the regular hornet but the super hornet would be way to op for the current meta

They’ll probably save the hornet for the summer update and make big bucks off of that.
Yeah I think they could’ve added the most basic variant with only sparrows a while ago which is why I always ask if it’ll finally come.

I want to clarify, since the F/A-18C is what was leaked, not E or G just C, I’m curious what that specific variant adds since that is likely what we get.
In all honesty it’s simply the last major 4th generation air frame we have been waiting for for a long time (at least for the USA). Arguably the F/A-18A should have been added instead of the F-14B at the time - but that’s long since past.
In terms of gameplay it’s going to be really good at pulling a lot of AoA, but it will be quite sluggish. The acceleration should be decent up until it reaches Mach 1.0, but after that it’ll struggle a bit.
It will more than likely be like a Flanker but for the USA - being great at one turn and then bleeding all its speed away while also being able to carry a TON of missiles. It won’t be OP by any stretch of the imagination, it’s just a diverse addition.
It can also go to Germany (via Switzerland), Sweden (via Finland), and the UK (via Canada or Australia). So it has many places it can go to diversify multiple TTs. Heck it can even go to Italy if Gaijin added the F/A-18A+ from Spain.
