Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 1)

Oooh, you mean it like that.

All C&P goes in the TT anyways, so i dont understand why we have to wait any longer.
Anything unique/domestic/ or something that gives a new play style for the TT, like heavy tanks (which Japan doesnt have), is going to be event/battlepass/premium either way.

it’s a wiki, so it’s editable for every user. honestly, it’s not smin’s job or something needs bug report

New War Thunder Wiki 3.0 is basically Russian VK format, I wonder if Gaijin will make WT live like this.

Gaijin increase battle rating to 14.0 for F-15E in the near future ?

Yes, though considering that leak was a ground subtree and there was also their China mistake since then, it is likely that for air they have only Thai stuff prepared.

So to make a proper subtree that represents these nations equally and make the subtree less reliant on copied vehicles they might need take a bit more time.
(Or just not release the subtree completely, only add a vehicle or two with an announcement for the future)

Hopefully.

Would love to see GRB go up to 12.3 for tanks / 13.0 for aircraft soon too.

Move things like 2A7/122/BVM/Pantsir up. End this charade of pretending things like Chally 2 / Merk / Ariete are in anyway comparable to such things.

Ideally the majority of the tech tree content should be unique modifications and variants over pure C&P.

But even if these have to be added at some point, I’d rather see a lone F-5A some random update than a whole subtree with 50%+ C&P and I’d be willing to wait longer for it to be done right.

I hope for more STB variants for JP ground.
Same goes for more STA variants.
Although… There are like 8 more variants of the Type 60 SPRG… These should also come.

Typo, I was making the point of the Swiss vehicles being placed in the tree and drawing parallels of the polish vehicle in the list. In the place of the text where you quoted polish, I intended to say Swiss as I was discussing the FAA P-16, which after it’s implementation you are quoted saying Swiss vehicles currently reside in Germany. Apologies for any confusion my typo brought, was asleep and couldn’t fix it.

It’s always been a show of US and Russia being able to dominate. Always one knocking the other one of the throne.

Only times I really remember it being different was with the T2 and Gripen.

Gaijin hasn’t said anything abt ASEAN yet, it 's only been unofficial sources ( leaks ) that we have to go off of. And from those leaks, we were expected to get the Singapore Leo 2A4 last update - meaning it 's expected to be ready a month or more ago. Which makes it likely that the other vehicles paired w/ it 's implementation have been ready since that time too.

It unexpectedly didn’t appear, but we don’t have any information on why that might be. It 's critical to understand that also means we can’t expect anything to have changed abt it other than the timeframe of appearance.

As a pretty much 90% ground RB/SB player I usually don’t trust any nation main to be good enough to hold my back.

And unfortunately I’m usually right.

yeah…

Besides T-2 / Gripen as you say, I can only remember CL-13Mk5, that very brief period when FGR2/FG1 uniquely had PD, and I think I recall an equally brief period where Mirage 2k-5 was doing pretty well.

But yeah. It’s extremely few and far between where US/RU isn’t defining & dominating the meta.

As you should ;)

I know that many people say C&P about ASEAN aircraft. Certainly the Jas39C in Thailand and the F-16A in Singapore or Indonesia are C&P, but there are many distinctive aircraft that are not C&P, such as the F-16D+, F-16A(e)MLU, su30mkm, etc. There are also many unique vehicles such as tanks and other combat vehicles, but I am also against adding the Leopard2A4 to Japan because Japan does not have a single vehicle with a BR 10.0-10.7.

Eft largely outclasses Rafale in every way except radar though tbh

I have been talking about the de grass for ages since French naval was a thing. These post war 5in and 57mm bofors are not fun to mess with especially for CL and DDs, or poorly protected CAs like BRITISH, Soviet or American designs.
