I thought AIM-120Bs were identical to 120As! In which ways are these better, if I may ask?

yeah its mainly the 229s which is kinda insane they give them to the F15E before they introduced any other counters
I see! I always thought the 229s merely made up for the extra weight on E to bring it to C levels; I didn’t know they made E surpass C!

F-15E/I are the definitive kings of A2A right now.
They are simply flat upgrades on F-15C / Baz Meshupar.
Bit heavier, but this is more than made up for by the gargantuan increase in thrust. Top tier is just E’s / I’s slinging AMRAAM’s at each other up at 10,000m / Mach 2, whilst everyone else hugs the deck lol.

Our first leaks around the Thailand->Japan subtree arrangement came in February, and the ASEAN ground leak wasn’t long after that. So it doesn’t seem likely that the vehicles planned to be involved are in an early development stage - more likely they’ve been ready for most of 2024, and these F-5 variants won’t be the only vehicles we’ll be seeing.

Identical except the F-15E has better engines. At least that is my understanding

take no CTFs and just the center fuel pod with your AMRAAMs and you can climb at 20 degress at Mach 1 right off the airfield and you’ll hit 10km alt in no time

Playing Ra’am, I don’t even take the centre drop tank, heck, sometimes i only even take 20m of fuel on the smaller maps.
All about getting higher and faster than the other teams E’s first, dump your AMRAAMs and turn back to the closer airfield to re-arm.
With a bit of luck you get 1-4 frags, and if the game isn’t over by the time you re-arm, just go again lol.

I’m not really either, but unlike Tomcat where Phoenix made it feel a lot more like a lottery, it’s surprisingly effective on E/I.
I’ve felt since the update that MP isnt quite as strong. I’ve had a number of AMRAAMs hit when I was expecting them to nose dive.
