C-4 and everything before that, yes. C-5 is sort of quite a big leap, not sure why US decided to make everything super complicated instead of calling it a D straight away.

All those are pretty much reskins though. The 2PL is the only vehicle which could be considered unique.
And it’s only in the German tree because it’s a German built Leopard 2
They don’t. There is a Polish vehicle in the US and British tree too.

the German Submarines had different configurations for the same type so it makes sense to name the specific boat instead of the type
that’s also why the S-100 class Torpedo boats got their names changed to specific boats
