Actually…it might be somewhat similar to that. Atleast that is how it feels for the Dutch when ever they buy a fighter jet in the past 60 years.
I think the J-11B will be more different from the J-11A than the J-10B is from the J-10A, so it’s unlikely to be shown any sooner.

Well if that happens to be a Typhoon then you’d need to pool your money for a batch order and then your few dozen might get you share ownership of one.
I suppose if any fighter jet will do then maybe you can find an old MiG-21 somewhere for a million or so and stick in another million or two to make reasonably flyable.

France doesn’t have any options for early ARH aircraft. True but America also doesn’t have a rank 8 ARH capable premium right now so it’s not necessarily a rule.

Like I’m pretty sure the second someone saw Italy getting an OSA there was a thread made which discussed that India also had an OSA and it would plug a gap in the British TT as a convenient and fast addition.
