In general the news with ASEAN stuff is surprising but plans could change so I’m not going to worry about it yet.
However…
I’m pretty sure it’s a similar story. The game is ready for the EFT, but they just have such a big backlog of things to get to first, so it got pushed. Just like how the F/A-18C was leaked for last update but mentioned that it could be delayed. It’s possible that EFT was supposed to be December but got delayed due to plans changing.
The F-22 we knew was always coming and it being worked on means Gen 5 is most likely within 2 years now. Earliest we could see it is early 2026 with 2025 being Gen 4.5’s debut (or this December).
The fact that they’re working with stealth is a good sign, especially using the F-117 event as a most likely test bed for it.
@Morvran Also I highly doubt the F-22 will show up before or the same time as the EFT, especially earlier EFTs. However, I do have reservations on flight performance in general for these aircraft. Either we overestimate their capabilities or Gaijin nerfs them to fit the game, most likely a little of both. I’m just expecting them to be slightly better than a Gripen/J-10A for the time being but who knows what Gaijin does.
Aside from all that though with EFT/F-22 talks, where’s muh F-2 Gaijin. Where does that fit into your timeline ;_;
Just sitting on a pile of cash to throw at Gaijin for my favorite aircraft…
I know some of the suggestions list Pratt & Whitney Canada engines. As far as I know, none of the SEA nations use anything Canadian-built (domestic or licensed built), with the closest thing used it the Dutch Humfox which is a variant of the Canadian Fox.
Even with regular threads here on the forum, any thread saying something remotely close to “china suffers” will get dozens of likes with barely any discussion and a bunch of “i agree” answers from chinese names. A poll in this situation would just get swarmed by chinese players who would decide the outcome regardless of the opinion of those from the affected countries.
